Darien “Pilgrim’s Weekend”
Nativity of Our Lady Mission in Darien has been designated by Bishop J.
Kevin Boland as a pilgrimage site this Jubilee year. A “Pilgrim’s Weekend”
will be held September 8-9. Dessert and coffee will be offered at 7:00 p.m.
on Friday, the Feast of the Nativity of Our Lady. The Rosary will be prayed at
7:30, followed by the Sacrament of Reconciliation and a Communion Service.
On Saturday, coffee and donuts will be served at 9:00 a.m. The Stations of the
Cross will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., followed by Exposition of the Blessed
Sacrament. Mass will be offered at 5:00 p.m., followed by supper.

“Welcome Back” Teen Mass
Saint James Catholic Youth Ministry Ministry invites all Savannah junior
and senior high school students to celebrate Mass for the beginning of the new
school year on September 10, the 23rd Sunday in Ordinary Time, at Saint
James Church, 8412 Whitfield Ave., Savannah, at 5:00 p.m. After the Mass, a
light dinner/social will be provided by the Saint James CYM.
Retrouvaille
Retrouvaille (Rediscovery) is a program designed to provide help and sup
port to married couples who are experiencing difficulties, brokenness or lone
liness. It has also proven helpful to couples who are separated or divorced and
wish to continue to work on their marriage relationship. Retrouvaille is a pro
gram of the Catholic Church but is open to couples of other faiths as well. The
next weekend is scheduled for September 15-17.

Sexuality Seminar
Saint James Church, Savannah, will host a day-long leadership training sem
inar presented by Family Flonor, Inc. on September 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00
p.m. entitled “Understanding God’s Gift of Sexuality: How to Bring the
Message Home.” The topics to be covered include: “Chastity: A Courageous
Virtue”; “Family-Centered Formation in Chastity”; “Pope John Paul II and the
Theology of the Body”; “How to Teach Total Person Sexuality”; “Helping
Families Understand Misdirected Sexual Behavior” and more.

Savannah DCCW Meeting
The fall meeting of the Savannah Deanery Council of Catholic Women will
be held on September 23 at Saint Michael Catholic Church, Tybee Island, in
the School Gymnasium, 714 Lovell Avenue, at 10:00 a.m., followed by a
luncheon at noon. The guest speaker will be Father John J. Fitzpatrick, pastor.
