Saint Frances Cabrini School opened this fall for Pre-K and Kinder garten, using the parish’s existing eductaion buildings. The new structures will enable the school to add more ele mentary grades. Wine Expo and Auction benefits Augusta’s Catholic Social Services On September 15, Catholic Social Services in Augusta helc a fundraiser in conjunction with Saint Vincent de Paul Clinic. The fundraiser, a “wine expo and auction,” was held at Sacred Heart Cultural Center. The expo raised several thousand dollars and promises to become an annual event. Book orders being accepted T he commemorative book, enti tled One Faith... One Family: The Diocese of Savannah, 1850 -2000, is at the printers. This 350- page compilation of historical essays on the Catholic presence in south Georgia and historical sketches of each parish and mission in the dio cese is lavishly illustrated with black-and-white photographs from the diocesan archives. This “coffee- table” style book also contains a 16- page section of color photographs illustrating the faces and places of the diocese and the many activities undertaken by the Church in the 90 counties that make up the far-flung Diocese of Savannah. Every registered family in the dio cese should have received a brochure from Signature Publi cations in Syracuse, New York, offering them the book for $30. The brochure contains an order form, enabling the buyer to have the book delivered to his or her parish at no extra charge, or to have it sent directly to a home address for an additional $8.00 per copy. Those ordering by mail may pay by check or credit card. Those ordering by phone (912-238-2320) may charge their orders to a major credit card.
