Savannah Deanery Youth Mass
On November 12 at 5:00 p.m., all young people of the Savannah Deanery are
invited to attend a special youth Mass at Saint Frances Cabrini Church, 11500
Middleground Road. Dinner will follow at no charge.

Savannah 2000 retreat
On November 17-19, all young people, ages 13-30, are invited to attend the
Savannah 2000 Retreat in Augusta at Saint Teresa of Avila Church, from
Friday at 6:30 p.m. until Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The fee is $20.00, including
lunch and dinner on Saturday. Financial assistance is available to those in
need.

Haydn Mass in Augusta
Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Augusta, Celebrate Music Concert Series,
will feature Haydn’s Great Organ Mass with the Church’s 10:00 Choir, mem
bers of the Augusta Symphony and special vocalists under the direction of Dr.
Janet Hunt (FAGO). This concert will be celebrated as a Solemn Sung Latin
High Mass (Novus Ordo) on Sunday, November 19 at 4:00 p.m. The Church is
located at the comer of Telfair and 8th Streets in downtown Augusta.
Jubilee Day for Families
The Bishop’s Subcommittee on the Jubilee Year / Third Millennium has sug
gested that Thanksgiving Day, November 23, be observed as the Jubilee Day
for Families in the U.S. A resource packet has been prepared to help families,
parishes and other faith communities celebrate this day. Copies may be
obtained for $2.00 per copy ($1.75 for 10 or more to the same address) from
the Family Life Office.

Cathedral Ecumenical Service
All are invited to a city-wide ecumenical prayer service at the re-opened
Cathedral of Saint John the Baptist on November 30 at at 7:30 p.m. Bishop J.
Kevin Boland will preach during the service. This prayer service is being held
in honor of the Jubilee Year 2000, the 150th anniversary the the establishment
of the Catholic Diocese of Savannah, the 100th anniversary of the rededication

Christopher Walker Workshop
The Savannah Chapter of the National Association of Pastoral Musicians
(NPM) is sponsoring a two-day workshop with featured speaker Christopher
Walker, at Saint Peter the Apostle Catholic Church, Wilmington Island,
Chatham County. Youth and adults alike will experience ideas and methods for
liturgy planning. Mark your calendars for Friday and Saturday, February 23-
24, 2001, and watch for further notices.
Choir Trip to Europe
Saint Augustine Church Choir in Thomasville, still has openings for singers
or non-singers for their trip to Germany, Austria and Stizerland June 13-25.
They will be visiting Munich, Salzburg, St. Wolfgang, Oberammergau,
Lucerne, Bern, Zurich, Liechtenstein and Grindelwald. The cost is $2,900.00.
