Lenten Fish Fry
Knights of Columbus Council 11058, in Saint
Marys, announces its annual Lenten fish fry
fundraiser March 2,16 and 30. Take outs will be
available at 4:30 p.m. Dinner will be served from
5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in the parish hall of Our
Lady, Star of the Sea Church. The menu features
white fish, hushpuppies, coleslaw, grits, beverage,
and dessert; all for $6.00 for adults, $3.00 for chil
dren 6 and under (special family rate is $25.00).
The Stations of the Cross will begin at 7:30 p.m.
at the historic church at the comer of Osborne and
Bryant Streets.
Souper Wednesdays
Saint James Parish, Savannah, will hold “Souper
Wednesdays” during Lent. Every Wednesday
evening from March 7-April 11 from 6:30-8:30
p.m. High school and college students are invited
to participate in an evening of prayer, food, music,
reflection and other Lenten activities.

Youth Mass scheduled
Savannah Deanery youth are invited to attend a
special Mass on Sunday, March 11 at 5:00 p.m. at
Our Lady of Lourdes Parish, 501 S. Coastal High
way, Port Wentworth. A free dinner will follow.

Columbus DCCW Spring Meeting
The Holy Family Council of Catholic Women will
host the Columbus Deanery CCW Spring Luncheon
Meeting on March 11. Mass will be celebrated at
11:00 a.m. at Holy Family Church, 320 12th Street,
Columbus. Registration will be at noon followed by
lunch in the parish hall. The General Meeting, with
installation of officers, will follow.

Evening with Pipes and Drums
The Police Emerald Society of Southeast Geor
gia and the Savannah Saint Patrick’s Day Parade
Committee present “An Evening with the Pipes &
Drums of the Ocean County (NJ) Emerald
Society” on March 15, at 7:00 p.m. at the
Roundhouse at the Historic Railroad shops offM.
L. King Blvd., Savannah. Tickets ($15.00 for

Spring Bazaar and Carnival
The 2001 Blessed Sacrament Spring Bazaar and
Carnival will take place on March 24 from 11:00
a.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the school grounds, at the
comer of Victory Drive and Waters Avenue,
Savannah. There will be crafts, games, and rides
for all ages, as well as: Bungie Run, Dunking
Booth, Human Slot machine, Tea Cups, Quarters
Table, Face & Fingernail painting, Moonwalk and
many other exciting games. Dinner will include
1/2 lb. barbecue pork, baked beans, cole slaw, and
roll. Dinners are $5.00 each and free delivery is
available on orders of 10 or more. One adult ticket
serves 2 children.

Divorced/Separated Retreat
The annual diocesan retreat for the Divorced
and Separated and Bereaved will be held April 6-8
at the New Ebenezer Retreat Center in Spring-
field. The registration fee will be $75 with finan
cial aid available to those in need. Brochures and
more information will be available the first week
of March. Another retreat will be held later in the
year in the middle of the diocese.
