The Face: Jesus
A two-hour documentary tracing the dramatically differ
ent ways in which Jesus has been represented in art
will air on public television stations in south Georgia in
April. The Face: Jesus in Art chronicles 2000 years of
artistic renderings of Jesus Christ with narration by Edward
Herrmann, Patricia Neal, Stacy Keach and Mel Gibson.
The program was made possible with funding by the
Catholic Communication Campaign. A collection for the
campaign is taken up in parishes and missions in the
Diocese of Savannah annually in July. Here are the air dates for The Face on

Diocese of Savannah Vocation Retreats
Vocatio Dei 2000, Session I, June 15-17. This weekend retreat is open to any
single adult man who is searching for God’s will for his life and is open to the
priesthood. (The minimum age is a rising junior in high school.) The retreat
begins on Friday evening and concludes on Sunday afternoon. It will be held
at Saint John’s Center in Savannah. There is no cost to the participants.
Vocatio Dei 2000, Session II, June 6-9. This four-day combination sports
camp/retreat is for rising 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grade boys. It is an opportu
nity to leam about different vocations, to grow in holiness and to have a
great time! The camp will be held at Saint John’s Center in Savannah. Cost
is $35 or $50 for two boys from the same family,
Call to Holiness 2000, July 11-14. This four-day sports camp/retreat is the
same opportunity as Vocatio Dei Session II, except it is for girls. The camp
is for rising 7th-12th grade girls and will be held at Saint John’s Center in
Savannah. Older girls are also needed as counselors. Cost is $35 or $50 for
two girls from the same family,
