A vote of deepest thanks is due
to Messrs. Sanford Wexler and
Sanford Rubin for the unselfish
and devoted services which they
have rendered to the Alliance in
providing the leadership of the
athletic program of the institu¬
tions.
Mr. Wexler, who is the chair¬
man of the athletic committee and
a vice-president of the Alliance,
took over the direction of the
athletic program of the Alliance
after the death of the late, be¬
loved Jerome C. Eisenberg, who
had guided the athletic activities
of the institution for many years.
Sanford has continued this serv¬
ice uninterruptedly for these
many months, at great sacrifice
to himself.
He has been assisted for the
past three months by Sanford
Rubin, who, upon his discharge
from military service, assumed
the direction of the athletic pro¬
gram for junior boys, which job
he has carried on with great skill
and devotion.
The cooperation and devotion
shown by the two Sanfords is in¬
dicative of the loyalty shown by
so many of our members, who,
when called upon to do a job on
behalf of their Alliance, pitch in
with gusto and zeal.
