THE JEWISH ALLIANCE
Committees Of The Alliance Fine Cross-Section
The activities program and ad¬
ministration of the Alliance af¬
fairs are supervised by the Board
of Directors, elected by the mem¬
bership. The Board of Directors
vests the responsibility for car¬
rying out the policies of the
Board in its committees, appoint¬
ed by the President of the Al¬
liance. Serving on these commit¬
tees are both Board members and
representatives of the general
membership of the Alliance, re¬
presenting a great network of
volunteers. The chairman of each
committee is a member of the
Board of Directors.
The personnel of the Alliance
committees for the year 1946-47
are listed below. Noteworthy as a
demonstration of the reintegra¬
tion of the returning veterans
into the life and guidance of the
Alliance is the fact that many
veterans are now serving on these
committees.
The committees are as follows:

Greetings From the President
(Continued from Page 1)
men, having grown up in the building, will be working on
our campaign. When you are solicited, remember the many
young men and women who have passed through the Al¬
liance into virile community leadership and the hundreds
of children, yours included, whose lives and habits, whose
ways of thinking, whose very characters will be molded by
their participation in the institution.
Your membership is a sound investment! Your dividends
(and we have never failed to declare one each year!) are
paid off in finer boys and girls, better students, good
athletes, clean minds in strong, healthy bodies and fine
leadership in our communal life. Yes, invest in this char¬
acter building and in the mental and physical development
of our youth. Your increased membership will give you
the opportunity to share in making the Alliance an actual
center for all—the real yardstick by which our community
may be measured.
BENJAMIN SILVERMAN. President.
