Camp Alliance
Opens June 13
Camp Alliance, the summer day
camp of the Jewish Educational
Alliance, will be starting its fourth
season on Monday, June 13. Chil¬
dren may enroll for the full eight
weeks of camp from ^une 13
through August 5, or one of two
four week camp periods, from June
13 through July 8 or from July 11
through August 5. Registration
is now in progress and you are
urged to register your children
immediately, since enrollment is
limited to 65 campers.
Fees for this year have been
maintained at the same rates as
last year, even though the camp
program will be expanded. Camp
fees include: pre-camp medical ex¬
amination, hot nourishing lunches

An outstanding program has been arranged for the traditional Annual Meeting and Rec¬
ognition Night of the Alliance, which will be held this Thursday evening, May 26, at 8:15 P.M.
Aside from the election of officers and members of the Board of Directors, as well as the
Annual Message of the President and Executive Director of the Alliance, incorporated into
the Business the for the evening will be in four parts:

1. Awards to groups and in¬
dividuals winning honors during
the past year in the Physical Edu¬
cation and Youth Activities De
partments ; and Recognition,
through the awarding of pins, to
Volunteer Leaders.
2. The unveiling of the Bronze
Placque dedicated to the Past
Presidents of the Alliance, who
have passed away; and, the pre¬
sentation of engraved scrolls bear¬
ing the resolutions adopted on the
death of the two past Presidents
who died during the past year—
Herbert Buchsbaum and Morris
Slotin—to representatives of their
respective families.
3. A Round-Table Discussion
on the subject, “Jewish Youth and
the Alliance,” with leaders from
the High School Youth Council
and the Junior Board of Directors
of the Alliance taking part, with
Paul Kulick, as the Moderator.
4. A Social Hour and Recep¬
tion, with Mr. and Mrs. Irwin Gif
fen, as honor guests.
Mr. Jacob Gazan, prominent
orator, who was president of the
•Alliance for many years and is
now an Honorary President of the
J.E.A., will deliver the Memorial
Tribute to the Past Presidents,
who have passed away. Mr. Gazan
is the logical man to memorialize
the deceased leaders of the insti¬
tution because, during his many
years of service to the Alliance,
he came ot know these men very
well.
The entire community is invited
to attend the Annual Meeting,
which will be held in the Audi¬
torium.
