Brawley announced his plans for retirement as chief administrator of Clark College to the Board of Trustees. It was at this time that the Trustees began the search for a new president, and in April of 1965, it was an nounced that a president had been found to replace Dr. Brawley’s long administration, Dr. Vivian Wilson Henderson. It is not an easy task to find a president or accept the re sponsibility of one, but we welcome our eighteenth president “Dr. Henderson” into the Clark College family. We are confident that with his leadership and experience, our institution will expand and continue to move forward as it has done in the past with the co operation of the faculty, staff and students. Dr. Henderson is a Tennessean with wide experience in col legiate administration and a background that includes teaching and administrative positions at Prairie View and North Carolina Col leges and at Fisk University where he was Chairman of the De partment of Economics and Business Administration since 1962. He has served as Director of the Fisk Summer School program and directed several widely-known institutes. This is the first time in 24 years that the administrative leader ship at Clark College has changed. Mrs. Anna Powell Henderson, wife, is a native of Bryan, Texas and we welcome her as a part of us. We hope that Wyonella, David, Dwight and Kimberly will enjoy their tours around the Clark campus and we look forward for a great relationship with them.
