Towards the end of the summer, Betty White approached her with the preposition of being the head volleyball coach for the Panthers. The vacancy opened when Valerie Belt-Jones left to coach at Spelman. "I always wanted to coach at the collegiate level so I accepted," said Hill. By Camille Woolcock Contributing Writer The latest addition to Clark Atlanta University's Athletic Department has legendary roots. Karen Brown, a former Clark College student, is the new Sports Information Director. She is also the daughter of Jim Brown, the National Football League's second all-time rushing leader. A former speech major, Brown said she was not prepared for her present career, but she did participate in athletic activities such as cheerleading, basketball and track and field.
