You’ve Come A Long
Way, Granite Bowl
BY RITA BROWN
Remember when you used to
come to football games and had
to sit on dirt and grass instead
of nice bleachers? Little by
lirrlij the Granite Bowl began
to take some changes. As the
dirt and grass were covered by
concrete, new bleachers sprang
up on both sides of the Bowl.
As you look across the visi
tors’ side, you see the huge
blue and white mascot which
proudly proclaims to all who
enter the Granite Bowl that
this is BLUE DEVIL COUN
TRY!

Autumn
COMPLIMENTS OF
Autumn is here one© again.
And with it all the beautiful dis
plays of Mother Nature. This,
along with many other things
indicates the changing of sea
sons.
All this is beautiful — until
the unappreciative creature call
ed man comes along. He de-
stroiys it by littering up the
landscape. Some even go so
far as to cause forest fires
which destroy all the beauty of
autumn. Pretty birds going
south also make up “fall.” If
all the trees were gone, then
the beautiful birds would be
gone.
Think more carefully before
you act this autumn. Don’t
throw paper on the ground and
please put out all small fires.
We wouldn’t want to ruin all
this beautiful scenery, would
we?
