ATLANTA BARB-Page 2 'Sex Change Georgia Ann Kutulas She did it and she’s glad! Interviewing Mrs. Geor gia Ann Kutulas, owner of the Basement Lounge in Columbus, Georgia, was an experience in itself. It takes . a lot of courage for anyone * to undergo surgery, but it takes even more for a man to have the sex change ope ration. Georgia Ann is, a pleasant, soft spoken fe male, and would like to caution our readers that if they may be interested in such an operation, first see a reputable Psychia trist; then have a com plete medical check up for hormone balance etc.,., it took three years of pre paration, psychiatric eva luation, hormone treat ments, thought pattern changes, for Georgia Ann to become the woman she is today. The operation was per formed at Stanford Uni versity in California. All total, it cost only $5,000 Previous to this, Georgia Ann had posed for young held the 1969 Miss Gay San Francisco title, but her employment was ter minated shortly after when it was discovered that she was taking hormones. She is a Sagittarius, and enjoys swimming, occas ional horse back riding, and just lounging around, watching TV. Her favorite personality is La Verne Cummings, a female im personator that has been performing at Finnochios for the past 15yea£S. When asked her greatest ambi tion, Georgia Ann had to stop and think. It had been to become a real woman. This has been accompli shed. Life has been kind to her, she went one step further; she is a mother of a 20 month baby girl that she and hubby George have legally adopted, and love dearly. Thank you Georgia, for your exclusive interview with the Barb.
