Miss Hatner Versitility is the word to use in describing Miss Hatner. She was born in New York, but was rais ed in Titusville, Fla. and has 5 1/2 years ex perience as a Female Im personator. Although she is well known as the “Queen of Comedy,” she can do just as well with serous num bers,. All of Hatners per formances are “outrage ously tremendous,” and where she is working now, (Showplace of the South) Sweet Gum Head, you ne ver know where she will pop up next. Miss Hatner really enjoys variety in her job, and you can oc casionally find her up there disc jockeying the show, waiting on tables or giving you that “ Million Dollar ISmile” as she mixes your favorite drink at the bar. Her wardrobe is original, as one of her interests is making her own gowns as well as swimming. She holds the Miss Hollywood title, and Miss Keiths in Day tona, she is a Virgo, and her greatest ambition is to “live a long life, getting as much as you can out of it.” She is proving that this is true as very few can keep the pace with her. Scaggnolia (The Great) While interviewing Scag gnolia the Great ( a very controversial entertainer) we learned much about the art of Cosmic Makeup ap plication. We sat and wat ched an attractive male transform himself into a .caricature? of whatever ne may have wanted to be. Only Scaq himself under stood, this. In his own - words, he has said “I’m a human cartoon, I’m still unborn, I’m just on pa per.” Scaggnolia A Leo, from New York, he has 12 years experience in the entertainment field, and was Fashion Coordi nator for the famous Edith Head of Hollywood. He did the fashions for the movies Airport, and Sundance Kid, including set decorations for Paint Your Wagon. In the Coronet Theatre, for Mowise Productions, he was the understudy for Mi chael Greer in Fortunes in Mens Eyes. Scags ta lent is so superbly diff erent, and he pantopiipes so well that he has been com pared to Kubuki Theatre artistry. He has also done ! Creative Display and In ferior Decoration, (includ ing Ciros on Sunset B’lvd. He is an artist and sculp tor. After majoring in Art at the University of Miami for 2 years, he left to “do his own thing,” “To be exactly understood, com plete understanding,” is his greatest ambition. For those of our readers who have been wondering where did he go? We have been told that he is now trave ling throughout London and Paris, and will be perform ing a private audience for the Princess of Austria. Scaggnolia has many loyal fans and he knows this so perhaps |ie will return to us soon. If and when, we will be the first to welcome him back. Misty Dawn has just won the Miss Congeniality title in the first official Miss Gay Chattanooga Pageant. She has three years experience as a professional Female Impersonator, nd hails from Flat Rock Alabama. She has won the Miss Gay Halloween title, and was first runner up in the Chattanooga Miss Independence Pageant. Misty has performed at the Escape Lounge in Hunts ville, the Hideaway in Knoxville, My House in Atlanta^ Cross Keys and the Powder Puff Lounge in Chattanooga. She is a qualified Emergency Medical Technicion and digs swimming and girls (of all things). Her zodiac sign is Pisces/Aquatius on the cusp, and greatest ambition at present is concentrating on winning the Miss Gay Tenn. Pageant, Miss Gay Alabama, and on from there. Its a fact that the future holds a lot of good things for Misty. A really good Female Impersonator, and “all around nice guy.” Word has it that Misty will in all probability be doing a few shows at the new Powder Puff Lounge in Chattanooga. Ad ve rtise In The Barb Entertainer Of The Month This month’s winner, se lected by Atlanta Barb re aders is Miss Alvina Grease. She is currently performing at My House Lounge, and is originally from Dalton Georgia. Al vina has had 3 years ex perience as a professional female impersonator and has appeared at such well known places as #1 Show Bar of the South, Sweet Gum Head, The Stardust, The Onyx, Mrs. Ps, andThe We Three in Macon. She has worked with Danny Windsor and the Funtastics. In 1973 Alvina, Kitty Litter and Lily White won the Gum Head Academy Awards as a Trio. (The Grease Sisters) Alvina has done quite a bit of travelling and will be returning to the road show “The* Misfits” shortly to work with Allison and other bit name stars. An ex- Jr. High Schoolteacher, Alvina received her degree at W. Georgia Carrollton College and her interests are drama, plays, career and movies (not necessarily in that order). When asked her greatest ambition, she re plied, “To be able to walk into any club, introduce myself and have a job there, to be that pro fessional”. This should present no problem for Al vina .
