Mr. Ernest Rosenberg, of Green wood, S. C., spent several days in the city, the guest of Dr. and Mrs. H. J. Rosenberg. Mrs. Sara Berman of Camilla, Ga. is guest of her daughter, Mrs. Samuel Smullian at her home on Jackson St. Mrs. Smullian will also be hostess to Mr. and Mrs. Lewis and Miss Fay Lewis of Lexington, Miss, and her sister, Mrs. Harry Gerbert of Jack sonville, Fla. Mr. and Mrs. Jake Cohen announce the birth of a little daughter. The many friends of Miss Rose Goldstein will be pleased to learn that she has recovered from a recent auto mobile* accident. Mrs. Mannie Adler, of Birmingham, is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Joel and Miss Fannie Menko. Arthur Harris, Jr. is spending the Raster holidays with his parents. He has as his guest Mr. Fred Kahn, of New York. Miss Lavinia Dorothy Greenblatt is home from Smith College spend ing the Spring holidays with her pa rents, Mr. and Mrs. Morris Green blatt. Rabbi Herschel Geffen of Savannah, Ga., will be the guest of Rabbi Tobias Geffen at his home on Washington St. Mrs. Abe Groodzinsky of New York City, formerly a resident of Atlanta, is visiting her sister and brother, Mr. and Mrs. Abe Borochoff. Miss Evelyn Rose has left for an extended trip to New York City. Miss Cecilia Tesler is visiting her brother and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Tesler in Brunswick, Ga. Mr. Sidney Saks was the week-end guest of Mr. Dave Shuman. Mr. Theodore Berz of Chattanooga, Tenn., was in Atlanta recently. Miss Leah Wengrow of Griffin, '•a., spent Sunday in Atlanta. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Levison, of ^ oungstown, Ohio, are guests of Mr. d Mrs. Milton Liebman and Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Wellhouse at the Wine- c'»ff Hotel. Mrs. Authur Geers and daughter, c '£gy, are spending several weeks at the Biltmore. Mr. Hyman Bergman has returned rom a motor trip to Chattanooga and Dalton. Miss Anne Koplin of New York * s v isiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. K. Koplin. Mrs. David Rosenblum and young son, Joel Warren, have returned to their home in Butler, Pa., after hav ing been the guests of their mother, Mrs. Joel Bakritzky. Mr. Clinton Smullyan of New York City is spending the Spring holidays as the guest of his grand-parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Goldberg. Mrs. Louis Diamond of Chatta nooga, Tenn., spent several days in the city recently. NAZARETH TO HAVE ELECTRIC LIGHT THROUGH RUTTENBERG WORKS Jerusalem (J. T. A.)—Nazareth is to have electric light and power, the result of an agreement concluded be tween the towuiship and the Palestine Electric Company. The agreement concluded with Pin- cus Ruttenberg, founder and manag ing director of the Palestine Electric Company, calls for the completion of the installation work by the end of 1929. EINSTEIN WRITES POEM AS RE PLY Jerusalem, (J. T. A.)—Albert Ein stein revealed himself as a writer of songs when the British mails delivered to the Hebrew Teachers Association of Palestine a letter from Berlin con taining the famous scientist’s reply to the organization greeting on the oc casion of his fiftieth birthday on March 14. The message of acknowledgement was counched by Professor Einstein in rhyme. It was written in German.
