Not only milk but other foods
need the protection of ice at this

A ^ ‘''IQL 1 hi expression of apprecia
tion to the men and women in this
country who have been foremost in
the raising of funds in connection with
[if . te< ? Jewish Campaign, is the
Testimonial for Distinguished Ser-
vice, that is being sent to them by
Nation* 1 Chairman David A. Brown
The testimonial, which is reproduc
ed herewith, is printed in colors on
parchment. Each testimonial is per
sonally signed by Mr. Brown, and the
name of the person to whom it is
awarded is written in, together with
this statement: “For your fine leader-
ship and great service The United
Jewish Campaign presents this Dis
tinguished Service Testimonial.”
In the letter accompanying the tes
timonial, Mr. Brown says:
The officers and directors of the
United Jewish Campaign including
those of our group who make up the
Joint Distribution Committee, hast
felt for a considerable time that there
should be some external evidence of
our appreciation of the fine service
rendered by a large group of our lead
ers throughout the country during
these many years of human effort.
“The Distinguished Service Testi
monial which has been sent you in
trinsically is of little value. Vet it
is priceless because it expresses what
has been brought home to the writer
of these verses (whose authorship
modestly confess to) in the hundreds,
yes, thousands of communications re
ceived from those who have been the
beneficiaries of your unselfish service
“I have been happy in my associa
tion with you over these many y ear:
and sincerely hope that we shall con
tinue to work together for all those
things which make for human hapP 1
ness and human service.”
