Tennen- baum of 980 Lanier Boulevard, and wish to express their sympathy. A large group of friends and rela tives attended the Bar Mitzvah of Abraham Geffen, son of Rabbi and Mrs. Tobias Geffen, held at the new Shearith Israel Synagogue on Wash ington Street recently. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Brail motored to Tampa, for the wedding of Miss Gladys Binswanger. Mrs. Gus Berman was hostess at a recent bridge luncheon given in hon or if Mrs. Kaplan of Newark, N. J. Miss Gertrude Miller, the guest of her sister, Mrs. Israel Zion of Atlan ta Avenue, has returned to her home in Baltimore, Md. Mr. J. S. Brail who is on the Exe cutive Committee of the National Leather and Shoe Finders Associa tion, left for St. Louis for a confer ence. Miss Lilly Vajda has returned to Atlanta after spending several months in New York City. Miss Bessie Nissenbaum has return ed to Atlanta after a three weeks vis it to New York, Philadelphia, and Atlantic City, where she was the guest of relatives. Mr. Jerome Herman of Savannah, spent a few days in the city. Mr. and Mrs. Sig Pappenheimer have returned home after a most de lightful trip through Canada. Mr. Oscar Strauss is indisposed at his home on Fairview Road. Mrs. Lea Frankel is recovering from a tonsil operation. Mrs. Sommers and Mrs. Rosenberg have returned from a pleasant stay in Chattanooga. Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Fox were cal led to Boston on account of the ill ness of their daughter, Allene. The many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Haas wfill be pleased to learn that they escaped serious injury in their recent automobile accident. Mr. Lionel C. King, formerly of the Biltmore Forest Country Club and also of the Deepdale Country Club, the latter being the privately owned Club of William K. Vanderbilt, has been engaged as Superintendent and Maitre d’Hotel by the Standard Club. Mrs. Edgar Weil, of Savannah, was at the Biltmore for a few days. Miss Emmalee Weil of Montgom ery, Ala., is the guest of Miss Doro thy Selig. Mr. Eugene Zachirias is in Bain- bridge, Ga. Mr. Hugo M. Spitz is in Chicago, Mr. Ben Bierman has returned to his home in New York City after at tending the funeral of his father, the late Mr. Morris Bierman, of Valdosta. Misses Dorothy Selig, Katherine Spitz, Arline Frcitag, and Ernestine Ilirsch attended the Georgia-Yale Football game in Athens recently. Miss Carol Hess is in St. Louis at tending a wedding. The friends of Mrs. Adolph Samuels are sympathizing with her in the death of her brother in Germany. Mr. Jake Hirseh is in New York on a business trip. Mr. and Mrs. B. Ehrlich celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary at a family dinner recently at their home on 14th Street. Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Strauss and daughter, Marie, of Louisville, Ky., were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Har old Hirseh for the Georgia-Yale foot ball game. Mr. Harold Wineberger spent the holidays with his parents in Nash ville, Tenn. Mr. Simon Einstein has recovered from his recent illness. Mr. and Mrs. Garfield Eichberg of New Orleans, are visiting relatives in the city. Mrs. Herman Hyman and son, Ar thur, are visiting relatives in Birming ham, Ala. Mrs. Ferd Kaufman left for Dallas, Texas where she will attend the wed ding of her niece Dorothy Loreh and Harold Schwab of Birmingham. Mrs. Kaufman will remain in Dallas sev eral weeks as the guest of her sister, Mrs. T. T. Lorch. Mrs. Sinclair Jacobs entertained at a beautiful birthday party at the Bilt more in honor of her son, Tory, who celebrated his seventh birthday. Mrs. Sarah Strauss has returned to the city after an extended visit to relatives in Columbus, Ga. Friends of Dr. Summerfield will be glad to learn that he is now well af ter a recent illness. Mrs. B. Z.
