FEATURES OF LOCAI, INTEREST (Continued from Page 7) Hadassah To Hold Meeting The regular monthly meeting: of Junior Hadassah of Atlanta will be held Sunday, March 30th, at 3 P. M. at the Henry Grady Hotel. The members are urged to be on time to win the attractive membership prize. At this time of the year (Purim) as it is the birthday of Hadassah, all the chapters in the country collect from their members a shower of tooth brushes, tooth paste, wash cloths from the Juniors, while the Seniors give linens, which are sent to Palestine. Miss Polly Gershon, chairman, will report on the Bohemian tea which was held Saturday, March l»5th at the Blue Boar Tea Room. The af fair was for paid up members only and was an outstanding success. Miss Lillian Esserman, chairman, will report on the quilt, and all ef forts will be concentrated on this quilt in order to complete the same in two weeks. This will be sent to our children’s village in Palestine when it is finished. Miss Lee Shuman, chairman, has arranged a very beautiful program, which will include a piano solo by Miss Anna Lesnof, and a violin solo by Mr. Alvin Nissenbaum. Miss Perle Bokritzsky, cultural chairman, is arranging a program for this meeting which will prove very interesting. The Fireside Group met Thursday night, March 27th, at the home of Miss Frances Heilman, 497V4 Wash ington Street, S. W. Miss Rae Ros enberg discussed the problems in Meier Shfeyah, which were of inter est to all the members, as this is one of the projects in Palestine. Miss Rachel Neely Elected To Phi Beta Kappa Society Miss Rachel Eve Neely, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank H. Neely, of Atlanta, has been elected a member of the Zeta of Massachusetts chap ter of Phi Beta Kappa society at Smith college. The announcement of the 49 new members was made by Professor Roy D. Welch, of the de partment of music. Mrs. William R. Sims, president of Atlanta Smith College Club, is a member of the society, having been elected in 1924, and Mrs. Herman Heyman and Miss Dorothy Tebbetts are also members, Smith College, at Northampton, Mass., is one of the leading educational institutions in the country. Miss Neely is a member of the senior class and is a prominent factor in Smith College activities and was graduated from Girls High School. She is a “special honor” student, and spent her junior year studying at the Sorbonne in Paris. Appointed Concert Master At Emory University Joseph Glazer, freshman, has been appointed concert master of the Em ory Little Symphony orchestra. Glaz er made the annual Southern tour with the Glee Club and received much praise for his violin playing.
