Elkins-Shalloway
Mr. and Mrs. S. Elkins, of Alma,
Ga., announce the* engagement of their
daughter, Sara, to Simon J. Shallo-
way, of Atlanta. The date of the mar

engagement of their daughter, Edna,
to Hyman Simons, the date of the mar

Mr. and Mrs. Louis Hirsh announce the
engagement of their daughter, Florence,
to Ben Edwin Marks, of Greensboro, N.
C. The date of the wedding will he an

Miss Levy Is Wedded
Characterized by beauty in every de
tail was the wedding of Miss Alice
Levy, of Columbus, Ga., to Julian Rich
ard Hiller, of New Orleans, which took
place June 1 at high noon, at Temple
B'Nai Israel. I)r. F. L. Rosenthal of
ficiated.
Entering first were the ushers,
Charles Simmons and Ervin Rosen
berg, of Columbus, and the grooms
men, Herbert Hiller, Harold Gosen-
heim, Philip Rittenberg, all of New
Orleans, and Edward Levy, brother of
the bride.
They were followed by the brides
maids, Miss Inze Rothchild, Miss Mir
iam Kaufman, of Columbus; Miss
Phylis Saal, of New Orleans, and Miss
Jane Ambcrg, of New York City. The
little flower girl was Dorothy Hiller,
of New Orleans, niece of the bride
groom.
Miss Adcle Levy was her sister’s
maid of honor. The bride entered with
her father, Deronda Levy, by whom
she was given in marriage, and was
met at the altar by the groom and his
brother, Roy Hiller, of New Orleans,
who acted as best man.
Following the ceremony, Mr. and
Mrs. Deronda Levy entertained the
bridal party and out-of-town guests at
a wedding breakfast at the Log Cabin.
During the afternoon the young
couple left for their wedding journey
to New York and other points, and on
their return will be at home to their
friends in New Orleans.
Miss Stone Weds
At Home Ceremony
A marriage of cordial interest to
many friends was that of Miss Rosa-
lyn Stone to Meyer Balser, which
was solemnized Sunday afternoon,
June 1st, at the home of the bride’s
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Stone, on Wash
ington Street. The ceremony was per
formed by Rabbis Harry Epstein and
Tobias Geffen, assisted by Cantor Lip-
itz. The bride was lovely in her be
coming gown of peach chiffon and lace
and wore hat and shoes to match. The
bride’s sister, Mrs. Lukie Rosenberg,
acted as matron of honor, and another
sister, Lee, acted as maid of honor.
After the ceremony the young couple
left for an extensive trip through
Florida.
Miss Isacoff Weds Charles
Weinstein
A marriage of cordial interest to
many friends was that of Miss Freda
Isacoff to Charles H. Weinstein, of
Birmingham, Ala., at the home of the
bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Isacoff,
was performed by Rabbi Epstein,
on Lakeshore Drive. The ceremony
assisted by Cantor Lipitz and P.
S. Clein. After the ceremony the
couple left for a motor trip and upon
their return they will make their home
in Birmingham.
Miss Epstein Weds Isadore
Parkin
An event of interest was the mar
riage of Miss Jean Epstein to Isa
dore Barkin, which was solemnized at
the home of the bride’s parents re
cently. The young couple left for a
motor tour of Florida.
Miss Kan tor Weds
1 he marriage of Miss Libby Kantor
to Joseph Tuck was solemnized re
cently at the Capitol Avenue Syna
gogue. The ceremony was performed
by Rabbi Tobias Geffen, immediately
after which the bride and groom left
for a short wedding trip.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Neely left for
Northampton, Mass., to be present at
the graduation of their daughter, Miss
Rachel Neely.
Joseph May, Mrs. Ben F. May, and
Miss Claire May sailed on the new
french liner, La Fayette, for a three
months’ trip abroad.
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Dittler spent a
few days in the city recently.
Miss Josephine Wachtal is the guest
of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Shulafer.
Mrs. Leopold J. Haas has returned
from an extended stay in Philadelphia.

Miss Ruth Lesser, of Rome, Ga., is
