gomery, Ala., are the guests of their

New York, are visiting relatives here.
Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Fox. Misses
Alletie Fox. and Helen Bauer have re
turned home after a delightful trip to
New York and Atlantic City.
Mr. and Mrs. Lazarus Calm are
guests of relatives here en route to
Pensacola, Fla., for a short visit.

Mrs. Morris Greenblatt left this week
for New York City to visit her daugh
ter, Lavenia, who is in attendance at
summer school at Columbia University.
Morris Ashendorf, of Marshall, Tex.,
spent a few days in Atlanta recently
with relatives.
The Program Committee of the Coun
cil of Jewish Women met last week at
the home of Mrs. Ernest Morrison, and
an interesting program has been out
lined for the coming year.
The children of the Hebrew Orphans
Home were entertained at the Fox
Theater recently as the guests of
Countess Sonia.
Isaac Ashendorf motored to New
York with his brother for a few weeks
visit with relatives.
The girls of the Hebrew Orphans
Home are conducting a sewing class
during the summer months under the
direction of Mrs. Edgar Licberman.
Mrs. Jake Faeman left this week for
Miami, Fla.
Mrs. Percy Rich is visiting her par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. M. G. Michael, in
Athens, Ga.
Mr. and Mrs. Israel Zion, of At
lanta avenue, accompanied by Roy
Miller, are leaving on July 1st for an
extended motor trip to Baltimore, Phil
adelphia, and Atlantic City.
Miss Ann Caplowitz, of Chattanooga,
was a recent visitor of Miss Sophie
Freeman.
Miss Esther Finerowsky recently left
for New Orleans, where she will be

Mrs. Eugene Oberdorfer is the guest
of relatives in New York City.
Mrs. Meyer Finsterwald, of Milwau
kee, is visiting her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Sig Papponheim, at their home on
Eleventh Street.

Mrs. Arthur Strauss and family arc
spending the summer at Tybee Island.
Mrs. Simon Ullman and daughter,
Muriel, left for Meriden, Miss., for a
short stay. Later they will spend sev
eral months in the Blue Ridge Moun
tains.
Mrs. Pauline Oppenheim, of New
York, has returned home after a de
lightful stay at the Biltmore the guest
of her son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs
William Rich.
Misses Laura and Helene Rosenberg
are the guests of Mrs. Victor Krieg-
shaber.
Miss Clara Steinheimer underwent an
operation at the Georgia Baptist Hos
pital recently.
Mrs. Morris L. Stern and son. Rich
ard, were called to Mobile. Ala., re
cently due to the critical illness of
Mrs. Stern’s brother. Harry Haveman.
Misses Marjorie Hirsch. Elizabeth
Epstein, Leila Harris, Marian Stern,
and Beatrice Rothchild are spending a
few weeks at Camp Civitania.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Rosenbaum and
son, Ralph, Jr., and Mrs. M. Goldman
left recently for Folly Beach. S. C.
Miss Carol Moss is the guest of
Mrs. Walter Benjamin in Birming
ham, Ala.
Mrs. Morris Rich and Miss Ida Hutz-
ler left for Atlantic City to spend the
summer.
Miss Caroll Moss is the guest of
Mrs. Walter Benjamin at her home
on Mountain Avenue in Birmingham.
Miss Xorma Koplin, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Henry Koplin. of Macon, is
visiting her grandparents, Mr. and Mrs.
H. Mendel.
The wedding of Miss Esther Pollick
to Sam Millender took place in Chat
tanooga Monday, June 16th.
Miss Bloomie Wise, of Chattanooga,
has returned home from a visit with
Miss Jennie Taylor on Washington
Street.
Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Chait announce
the birth of a daughter, born Sunday,
June 22nd, at the Piedmont Hospital.
Mrs. G. Strauss has returned from
Birmingham, Ala., where she visited
her son and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
Harry Strauss.
Mrs. Henry Gold and son, Henry, Jr.,
are guests of Mrs. Sam Schoen at her
home on Oakdale Road.
Messrs. Robbie Fcrst, Henry Bauer,
Victor Kingdom and William Kingdon
left by bus recently for an extended
tour of the West.
Mrs. Joseph Sternberg, of Asheville,
X. C„ is the guest of her parents, Dr.
and Mrs. Visanska.
A. Ginsburger, of Chicago, spent a
few days in Atlanta recently as the
guest of bis sister, Mrs. Sigfried Sam

Bobbie Rothbcrg left for Plainsfield,
X. J., to visit relatives before entering
Camp Wigwam in Maine.
Mr. and Mrs. Mike Mohr have re
turned to their home in Montgomery,
