The marriage of Miss Frances Scruggs
and Or. Maurice L B. Clarke, of Atlanta,
was solemnized at Atlantic City, N. J.,
recently. The attractive rec?ption room
of the well-known La Victoirc on the
boardwalk was reserved for the occasion,
and the ceremony performed in the pres
ence of the two immediate families wes
characterized by charming simplicity. I >r.
Ferdinand Meeker of Philadelphia offi
ciated. The bride was given in marriage
by her brother-in-law, Jerome Summer-
field, of Atlantic City, and was attended
by her sist r, Mrs. Jerome, Sommerfield,
as matron of honor. The groom was at
tended by his uncle, Lc Roy (ioldberg,
of Richmond, Va., as best man. Among
the out-of-town guests were Mrs. Lee
Hen Clarke, of Atlanta, mother of the
groom; Mrs. Young R. Scruggs, of Co
lumbia, S. ('., mother of the bride; Miss
Nellie Bradley, of Columbia, S. C., Mr.
and Mrs. Harry (ioldberg, of New York-
City, and Mr. Mrs. Le Roy Goldberg, of
Richmond, Va. The newlyweds on their
return from the honeymoon, will make
their home on Virignia Avenue.
The marriage of Miss Lucile Apfel-
baum to Mr. A. Maurice Lovettian, of
Nashville, I etin., was solemnized re
cently at the home of the bride’s par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. G. R. Apfelbaum,
on (bikdale road. It was a lovely and
inspiring event.
Nlrs. S. Smullian and daughter, Ber
nice, have returned from an extended
stay in New York with relatives and
friends.
Mr. Fisas Phillips has recovered
from his recent illness.
Miss Billy and Mr. Julian Berman
have left for the University of Alaba
ma where they are now attending
school.

to Mr. Hyman Bergman was an event
of recent beauty.

Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Goldstein have
returned from New York, where they
spent their honeymoon.
Mrs. Vol Blackmail has returned from

Mr. and Mrs. James J. Stein enter
tained recently at a dance at their
home on Ponce de Leon Avenue, hon
oring their daughter, Miss Charlotte
Stein. Assisting in entertaining were
Miss Hermenial Baum, Miss Bobbie
Saperstine, and Miss Ethel Stein.
Mrs. Bruno Beckof/.er is now resid
ing at the 1050 Ponce de Leon Apart
ments.
A recent event of much interest was
the marriage of Miss Ada Weiner to
Ralph Abelman.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Rich have re
turned after spending a few months
abroad.
Mrs. Bennie Lichtenstein and son,
Morris, are home again after spending
a few weeks in Charleston, S. C.
Mrs. Morris Bernard has returned
from a delightful visit in New York.

and Rose Rich have returned from an
extremely delightful visit in New York.
Miss Ruby Gordon has returned from
an extended stay in Asheville, N. C.,
with relatives.
Mr. and Mrs. Bertram Kaufman an
nounce the birth of a daughter, to be
called Margaret Antoinette. Mrs.
Kaufman was formerly Miss Rebekah
Meyerhardt, daughter of the late Judge
and Mrs. Max Meyerhardt, of Rome,
Georgia.

Lea Schrieber, and Elsie Rudderman.
Miss Addie Steinheimer has returned
from a delightful trip abroad.

Md., has returned home after spend
ing a few delightful weeks with friends
and relatives in Atlanta.
Bill Estroff, of Robertson, Ga., has
returned home following his gradua
tion from Emory University.
Mrs. F. A. Cresnow and son, Samuel,
and her niece, Annette Selberman,
spent the past month at Tybee Island.

Miss Nannie Kramer has returned

Bernard Joel, of that city, was an in
