Mrs. Henry Weil and daughter have returned to their home in Montgom ery, Ala., after being delightfully en tertained as the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Ferst. Mrs. Edgar Lieherman lias returned from Charleston, S. C. Mr. and Mrs. Elsas Phillips have re turned home after spending a few weeks in Cuba. Mrs. Abe Greenfield is again at home after spending a few weeks in Savan nah, Ga. Dr. and Mrs. Eugene Jacobs, of Bir mingham, Ala., were recent guests of Miss Daisy Jacobs. Mrs. I. Hoffmayer, of Albany, Ga., has returned home after a delightful visit with Mr. and Mrs. DeWald Cohen. Mrs. Mose Frank is residing at the Hotel Georgian Terrace after spend ing a few months abroad. Mr. Edgar Weil, of Savannah, spent a few days in the city recently. Miss Josephine Wachtel, of Savan nah, Ga., was the recent guest of her aunt and uncle, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Shulafcr. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Sternberg, of Asheville, X. C., announce the birth of a son. Mrs. Sternberg was formerly Miss Annette Yisanska, of Atlanta. Rabbi Lazarus Axelrod has returned from Macon, Ga., where he conducted services recently at the Sherat Israel Synagogue. Emory Vuivcrs ty News Alpha Epsilon Pi, Jewish fraternity at Emory University, announces its pledges for this year. \ hey are : Na than Gershon, Leon Shalbnvay, Simon Wender, Isidore Hoffman, David Gold stein, and Louis Klein. Alfred Citrynell, student in the Em ory Medical School, was recently ini tiated into the fraternity. David Goldwasser, president of the fraternity, attended the annual Alpha Epsilon Pi convention in Milwaukee, Wis., which was held December 25-29. * * * Charles Hoffman, of Mobile, Ala- lias been elected president of the Em ory Law School senior class. Hoff man also is on the Law School base ball and basketball teams. He gradu ates this spring. * * * Joe Glazer. Sidney Parks, Simon Wender, Leon Shalloway, Sam Citron, of Atlanta, and Isadore Hoffman, of New York, are members of the Emory University Little Symphony orchestra. Glazer is the concert master, and has played solos on several of the Emory Glee Club concerts this year. * * * David Goldwasser was elected presi dent of the Emory University Pan- Hellenic Council for the winter quar ter, it was announced recenltv. He represents the Alpha Epsilon Pi fra ternity in the council. Besides being assistant editor of the Emory Wheel, school paper, and publicity director of I he Emory Glee Club, Goldwasser is a concert pianist. At the present he is an artist-pupil of Hugh Hodgson. * * * Sam Zion, Bennie Millender, Louis Klein, and Irving Greenberg, all of At lanta, are on the championship pro- season basketball team at Emory Uni versity. Their team won the cup re cently in a tournament played in by ten other teams. Charms have also been given the players. * * * Meyer Tenenbaum. of Savannah, was elected president of the Independent Student body at Emory University re cently. Tenenbaum is a junior in the Emory Law School, and has been ac tive in campus organizations since en tering Emory four years ago.
