of honor at a dance given at the Jewish

Miss Carol Mason, of New York City
is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Baum

Mrs. A. R. Spiclberger of 1160 Boule
vard, N. E., and her little son, Charles
Donald arc recuperating from their
recent serious illness.
Mrs. Maurice L. B. Clarke is spend
ing a few days with Mrs. Joseph Ber
man at her home in Mississippi.
Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Levitas an
nounce the birth of a son at the Geor
gia Baptist Hospital recently.
Mrs. David Eichberg was hostess at
a recent party at her home on Ponce
de Leon, complimenting Mrs. R. L.
Haas, of Montclair, N. J., who was
formerly Miss Myra May, of this city.
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Kahn announce
the marriage of their sister, Mrs. Helen
D. Fellheimcr, to Mr. Silas 1C. Rosen
thal, of Washington. The wedding was
solemnized in Richmond, Va., Rabbi
Edward Calisch performing the cere
mony.
Miss Natalie Cohen, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. DeWald Cohen, of 982 Vir
ginia Avenue, N. E., recently achieved
her rifle numerals at the University
of Southern California where she is a
student.

daughter spent a few weeks in Savan

Angeles where she will spend the
winter months.
Miss Esther Clein is visiting relatives
and friends in Birmingham, Ala.
Miss Ida Hurtzler is spending the
winter months in Miami, Fla.
Mr. Dick Guthman has returned
from a short stay in Savannah.
Miss Fannie Moldow and Miss Lena
Gerscow recently returned from a
short visit in Birmingham, Ala., where
they were delightfully entertained.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Levisoti an
nounce the marriage of their daughter,
Paula, to Henry 1C. Isaacs, of Tusca
loosa, Ala., the marriage having taken
place recently at the home of the bride
at 1307 West Peachtree Street. Only
the immediate family were assembled.
Miss Dorothy Elsas of New York
City is the guest of her aunt Mrs. B.
Z. Phillips.
Mr. and Mrs. Isadore Samuels have
returned from Bennettsville, S. C.,
where they were the guests of Mrs.
Samuels parents, Mr. and Mrs. L.
Strauss.
Miss Pearl Levy recently returned
from a delightful visit in Chicago.
Mrs. II. Cronheim has returned from
Savannah where she was called on
account of the death of her brother,
Mr Jake Pinkussohn.
Miss Goldie Barron of Chattanooga,
Tcnn., was the recent visitor of Miss
Sylvia Tenenbaum.
Mrs. Harry Gershon has returned
from Macon, where she was honored
at a luncheon by members of the Ma
con section of the National Council of
Jewish Women. She is president of
the interstate conference and made a
talk before the membership.
Mr. and Mrs. M. J. Greenblatt and
daughter, Lavinia, spent a few weeks
in Jacksonville, Fla., recently.
Miss Peggy Caton of Savannah was
the recent guest of Mr. and Mrs. Benj.
Wiseberg, of Myrtle Street.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Geigerman were
hosts at a dance given at their home
on Briarcliff Road, honoring their son
Herman’s seventeenth birthday anni
versary.

Fla., is visiting relatives and friends

nounce the birth of a daughter, to be
called Mary Louise.
The marriage of Miss Rose Gouse,
of Birmingham, Ala., to Mr. Arthur
Hillman, of Atlanta, took place re-
centfy in the city.
Miss Annette Baer, who was the
guest of Mr. and Mrs. Ed David during
her stay in Atlanta, has returned to
her home in Wilmington, N. C.
Mr. and Mrs. Irving Hartman, of
Chicago, Ill., have returned home after
visiting their relatives and friends in
Atlanta.
Mr. and Mrs. Ben II. Bach were the
recent guests of their relatives in Jack
sonville, Fla.
Mr. John Murphy and Mr. Ben Joel,
Jr., of New York, were the recent
guests of Mr. and Mrs. B. F. Joel.
Miss Lily Myers is now residing at

Mrs. Morris Rich is spending several
weeks in Miami, Fla.
The marriage of Miss Evelyn Fine
to Mr. Jack Silver was a recent event
of much interest.

Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Herzog have
returned from West Palm Beach, Fla.,
where they spent several delightful

Mr. Joe Asher has recovered from
his recent indisposition.
Mr. and Mrs. Percy Howell Myers,
Savannah. Ga., announce the engage
ment of their daughter, Jane Rich, to
Mr. Louis Montag, of Atlanta. The
date of the marriage is to he announced
later.
Mrs. Murray Shaffer, of Youngs
town, Ohio, formerly Miss Mayme
Jacobs, was the guest of her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. M. B. Jacobs, on Vir
ginia Avenue.

1930 and welcomed the new year at a
beautiful ball at their clubhouse on
Ponce de Leon Avenue. The delight
ful program included a dinner served
at 11:30 o’clock at tables gay with
flowers in the holiday colors and with
favors for the ladies of dainty com
pacts, and for the men, noise makers,
paper caps and other novelties. At
12:30 o’clock the show from the Fox
Theater was given in the ballroom,
At 5 o’clock, as a fitting finale, break
fast was served.
The engagement of Miss Dora Wald
to Mr. Ben Israils was an announce
ment of recent interest.
Mr. and Mrs. Julian Slager of Mont
gomery, Ala., were the recent guests
of relatives here.
Mrs. J. N. Hirsch and son, Harold,
returned recently from New York
where they spent a few weeks.

has returned home after visiting rela
tives and friends in Atlanta.
Mr. Benno Goettingcr left recently
for Miami, Fla., where he will spend
the winter months.
Miss Adelaide Van Stravoren, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. L. Van Stravoren,
of 780 Clemont Drive, N. E., left re
cently for Charlotte, where she joined
the stage act of Milton Berle’s on the
R. K. O. circuit.
A marriage of wide social importance
and one characterized by impressive
beauty and dignity was that of Miss
Virginia Gleaves Lazarus, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Edon Spencer Lazarus,
of New Orleans, to Mr. Richard H
Rich, of Atlanta, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Herman Rosenheim, of New York,
which was solemnized recently at a
brilliant ceremony in New Orleans.
