Weddings
Announcement was received from
New York of the approaching marri
age of Miss Eva Hadas, graduate of
Emory University and daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. D. Iladas, of 129 Rich
ardson street, S. W., Atlanta, Ga., to
Murray Irving Gursein, assistant
United States attorney, of New York.
The rites were solemnized at the Jew
ish center in Brooklyn, N. Y.
Upon her graduation Miss Hadas
entered Columbia University in New
York, where she took her M. A. de
gree. Her father, a retired Atlanta
businessman, has made his home in
that city for the past 30 years.
The marriage of Miss Pearl Levy,
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Abraham
Levy to Mr. Seymour S. Moltach, son
of Mr. and Mrs. J. Moltach, of Chica
go was solemnized recently at the At
lanta Women’s Club. The ceremony
was performed by Rabbi Tobias Geffen
in the presence of relatives and
friends. The ushers were, Messrs. Ben
Rosenberg, Tiny Berman, Isadore
Fineroff, Otto Blum. The bridesmaids
were, Misses Helen Bailey, Miss Mary
Moltach, Alice Taranto, Elsie Jacobs
and Bertha Waldman. The matrons of
honor were, Mrs. Wm. Trilling,
sister of the groom, Mrs. Paul
Tenenbaum. Miss Eunice Fried
man was maid of honor. Little Betty
Lee Scaggs and Micky Greenberg were
the flower girls. The bride was given
in marriage by her mother and father.
The groom had as his best man Mr.
Ben Bernstein of Chicago and his
groomsmen were Messrs. Meyer Levy,
Abe Steinberg, Sam Klein of Chicago,
Irving Levy and L. C. Long. Follow
ing the ceremony a reception was held.
During the reception music was ren
dered. Receiving with Mr. and Mrs.
Abraham Levy were Mr. and Mrs.
Joseph Moltach, parents of the groom.
Out of town guests were, Mr. and Mrs.
Moltach, Mr. and Mrs. Trilling, Miss
Mary Moltach, Mr. Wm. Sontz, Messrs.
Ben Burnstein, Abe Steinberg, Sam
Klein and Miss Bertha Waldman of
Chicago, Ill. Mr. H. Alter, Moe Alter,
Mr. S. Maginsky, Mr. J. Tenenbaum,
Mr. L. Maginsky, Mr. S. Tenenbaum
of New York, Mr. and Mrs. L. Jacobs,
Mr. S. Jacobs and Miss Elsie Jacobs
of Macon, Ga. ' -
The marriage of Miss Ida Edith
Bock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. I.
Bock to Mr. Herbert Saul, which was
solemnized recently at the Atlanta
Woman’s Club in the presence of a
large assemblage of friends and rela
tives, Rabbi Harry Epstein perform
ing the ceremony.
The bridegroom’s attendants were
Mr. and Mrs. J. Saul, his mother and
father, and his brother, Mr. Abe Saul,
was the best man. The bride was at
tended by her father, Mr. I. Bock, and
her sister, Mrs. S. L. Gillman was ma
tron of honor. The bride entered with
her brother, Mr. Victor Bock, by whom
she was given in marriage.
Following the ceremony Mr. and
Mrs. I. Bock entertained the guests
with a dinner-dance in the spacious
ball room of the club.
Among the out-of-town guests were
Mr. and Mrs. J. Blumberg, and Miss
Evelyn Blumberg, of Birmingham,
Ala.; Mr. Michael Bock, San Antonio,
Texas; Mr. and Mrs. Abner Saul, Chi
cago, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Pat Cohen,
Alexander City, Ala.; Mr. Alvin Levy,
Memphis, Tenn.; Mr. and Mrs. A.
Borisky, Chattanooga, Tenn.; Mr. and
Mrs. H. R. Saul, Lawrenceville, Ga.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Saul left for
Jacksonville, Fla., and sailed for New
York and Canada, where they spent
the month of August.

Mr. and Mrs. William Block of
Wilmington, N. C. announce the en
gagement of their daughter, Miss Syl
via Wolk, to Mr. B. D. Schwartz, son
of Mr. and Mrs. L. Schwartz of Wil
mington, N. C.

lanta, formerly of Denver and Pueblo

Mr. and Mrs. Simon Abelman an
nounce the engagement of their daugh
ter, Lena to Mr. Sam E. Brody of
Chattanooga, Tenn.
The recent formal announcement of
the engagement of Miss Rebecca Ro
senthal to Mr. Chas. Flem was re
ceived by their friends with a great
deal of interest.
Miss Eva Cantor, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Nathan Canter of Eastman,
Ga. became the bride of Mr. Irving
Wolf of New York City recently. The
ceremony was performed in the pres
ence of a large gathering of relatives
and friends from all over the state.
Of interest to a large number of
friends is the announcement made re
cently of the marriage of Miss Ber
nice Bass, of Memphis to Mr. Abner
Saul of Fairfield, Ala., formerly of
Atlanta. The marriage took place in
Memphis at the home of the bride’s
parents, and in the presence of the
immediate family. Following the cere
mony the newly married couple left
on a trip through the west after
which they will go to Chicago where
they will reside.
