from Memphis, Tunn.
Mrs. Ida Arnheim, of Savannah,
was the guest of Mrs. Lee Dreyfus.
Mrs. Arthur Heyman has returned
from New York.
Mrs. Sig Pappenheimer is making
her home at the Biltmore Hotel.
Mr. and Mrs. Elsas Phillips spent
some time in Tampa, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Zacharias,
Miss Ernestine Hirsch and Mr. Sidney
Smith motored to Albany, Ga., re
cently to attend the Nussbaum-Kal-
mon wedding.
Mrs. Alex Rosenfeld and Mrs. Vol
Blacknall spent a few weeks in Nash
ville, Tenn., the guests of relatives.
Mrs. Joe Herzfeld, of West Point,
Ga., spent a few days in the city, a
guest at the Henry Grady Hotel.
Mrs. Bert Pake and daughter, Bet
ty Jane, of Mobile, Ala., spent a few
days in the city.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam Brown, of Mo
bile, Ala., were the guests of their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Max Greenfield.
The Senior Chapter of Hadassah
met recently at the Jewish Progres
sive Club. A musicale was given, in
which Miss Minna Hecker was the
soloist. Accompanied by Mrs. Fannie
S. Goldstein, chairman of the pro
gram committee, Miss Hecker sang
an aria from the opera, “Mignon”.
A six-string ensemble led by Meyer
Seigel played the overture to the op
era.
Reports of the delegates, Mrs. Hy
man Jacobs, Mrs. I. M. Weinstein and
Mrs. J. J 1 Heilman, who attended the
national convention in Atlantic City,
were given.
The brilliant success of the annual
Hadassah ball held at the Biltmore
Hotel was acknowledge due to the
outstanding work done by Mrs. Men
del Zaban, program chairman; Mrs.
Max Mendel, ticket chairman, and
Mrs. H. Taylor, co-chairman of ticket
selling.
Mr. and Mrs. Jake Hirsch, Master
Jack Hirsch and Miss Marjorie
Hirsch spent Thanksgiving in Pensa
cola, Fla.
Mr. and Mrs. M. Bodenheimer and
Mr and Mrs. E. Bodenheimer motored
to Athens for a recent week-end.
Mrs. H. C. Sommers is convalescing
from a recent illness.
Mrs. Eugene Jacobs and Mrs. Man-
nie Adler of Birmingham, Ala., spent
a few days in the city.
Miss Fannie Menka is the guest of
relatives in Birmingham, Ala.
The Atlanta section of the Na
tional Council of Jewish Women held
a musicale and ten recently at the
Temple on Peachtree Road, honoring
the Columbus Section and new mem
bers. Miss Jacquelin Moore, brilliant
harpist, rendered a group of harp
solos, followed by a group of violin
solos by Mrs. Alexander King, well-
known violinist. Mrs. Charles Chalm
ers, distinguished pianist, joined the
other two artists in a number of trio
ensembles.
The hostesses for the tea were Mrs.
Arthur Shulhafer, chairman; Mrs.
Henry Geigerman, co-chairman; Mrs.
J. V. Freitng, Mrs. Hertzka, Mrs. B.
D. Fuchs, Miss Dnisy Jacobs, Mrs.
Dewald Cohen, Mrs. Arthur Heyman,
Mrs. Edgar Bodenheimer, Mrs. M. R.
Weiss, Mrs. Harry Gershon.
Columbus guests were Mrs. Abey
Strauss, Mrs. Morris Ixieb, Mrs. Chas.
Hecht, Mrs. Jack Schnrpp, Mrs. Jake
Stein, Mrs. David Rothschild, Mrs. Joe
Rothschild and Mrs. Irwin Rothschild.
Miss Connie Jacobus has recovered
from an appendicitis operation.
Mrs. Max Greenfield spent several
weeks in Mobile, Ala.
Mrs. Benton Nussbaum, of Bain-
bridge, Ga., was the guest of Mr. and
Mrs. E. Zacharias.
Mrs. Moe Goldman and son, George,
have returned from Chattanooga.
Mr. J. G. Spitz and son, Jack, of
Richmond, Va., were guests of reln-
itves in the city.
Miss Helen Bauer, who is attend
ing college in Nashville, spent a few
days in the city.
Mrs. Bertha Wellhouse, Mrs.
Charles Adler, Mrs. A. Shulafer and
Miss Daisy Jacobs motored to Athens
recently.
Mrs. Morris Rich has returned from
Savannah ami is at home at the Geor
gian Terrace. She has as her guest,
her daughter, Mrs. Percy Myers, of
Savannah.
Mrs. Weiner Byck spent a week in
