Miss Bernstein is the sister of Mrs. Brown. Mrs. Aaron Guthman, of Savannah, spent a week as the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Sig Montag. Mrs. Sig Pappenheimer has return ed from a trip to Macon and Albany, Georgia. Mr. Harold Weinberger has return ed from a trip to New York. Miss Revie Cahn, of New Orleans, is visiting Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Hirsch at their home on Lullwater Road. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hirsch spent some time in Miami, Fla. Mrs. J. Hoplin, of Columbus, Ga., is the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Schoen. Mr. Walter Bloom has returned from a hunting trip in South Georgia. Miss Jane Morris, of Dallas, Texas, will be the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Montag and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Ferst for the Christmas holidays. Ballyhoo Plans of Interest To Southern Society Novelty and brilliancy will feature the three-day festival reign of the Ballyhoo Committee, who will be host to two thousand guests from all over the South. The committee in cludes in its membership over a hundred socially prominent Jewish business men, is the first organiza tion of its kind to be formed in At lanta, and is headed by Mr. Donald Oberdorfer as chairman; Mr. Lyons B. Joel II, vice-chairman; and Mr. Kurt Holland, secretary and treasurer. Committee chairmen include Mr. Alex ander Dittler, entertainment; Mr. Os car Strauss, Jr., ballyhoo broadcaster; Mr. Gabriel H. Schoen, ballyhoo hand shakers; Mr. James H. Rich, bally hoo inviters; Mr. Simon S. Selig, ballyhoo budgeters; Mr. Abram Lef- fler, ballyhoo bouncers; Mr. Harry Zaban, ballyhoo billeters. The festivi ties will open with a formal dance given on Christmas Eve at the Stand ard Club. A tea dance will compli ment the visitors Christmas after noon, which will also be given at the Standard Club. An informal party and ’possum hunt will be held at the Ingleside Country Colub Friday eve ning, when the guests will be served supper. Saturday afternoon the en tire membership of the Ballyhoo Committee and guests will attend the Tech-California football game, and that evening will mark a formal dance to be given at the Standard Club. A special orchestra, imported from New York, will contribute musical programs for the gay events. Messrs. Henry Bauer, Jr., Nathan Wolfe, Jr., Joseph, Jacob and Marcus Haas, Simon Selig, Jr., and Herbert Rosenberg, Jr., are spending two weeks with their parents to enter into the holiday fastivities. Mrs. Siegfried Guthman and son, Siegfried, Jr., have returned from Montgomery, Ala., where they visited Mrs. Sam Kahn, Mrs. Guthman’,s mother. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Sternberg and young son, Jerry, of Asheville, N. C., were recent guests of their parents, Dr. and Mrs. S. A. Visanska. Mr. and Mrs. Bert Williams and family, of Jersey City, N. J., are now making their home in Atlanta. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Bodenheimer, Mrs. Edgar Bodenheimer and Mrs. Jerome Lissauer motored to Alto, Ga. Mr. H. Sol Clark, of Savannah, was a recent visitor to Atlanta. Miss Claire Strauss will spend the holidays with her parents, Mr. and Mrs Oscar Strauss.
