gagement of her daughter, Rubye, to Mr.

Marriages
• Miss Carol Hess, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Aaron C. Hess, and Clinton Mayer
bong, of Wilkes-Barre, Pa., were married
recently at the Biltmore Hotel. Dr.
David Marx performed the ceremony.
Attendants were Simon Long, brother of
the groom, as best man; Henry Herman
Mess and Lawrence Fox, groomsmen;
Mrs. Ralph Uhry, Miss Ernestine Hirsch,
Mrs. Edgar Oppenheim of New York,
and Mrs. Maurice Loveman, of Nash-
v ‘de, bridesmaids. Following the mar
riage service, Mr. and Mrs. Hess en
tertained with a wedding supper. Mr.
and Mrs. Long left for a European
redding journey of several months, sail
ing on the S.S. New York, and will spend
s ° me time in Rome, Florence, Paris,
Munich and London, returning in June
aboard the S.S. Majestic.

• Mr. and Mrs. Joe Freitag have re
turned from a motor trip to Florida and
Louisiana.
• Mrs. P. H. Phillips, of Erie, Pa., is vis
iting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Armand
Wyle.
• Louis Regenstein, Jr., junior at Har
vard University, spent the spring holidays
with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Regenstein. He was recently placed on
the dean’s list of honor students for the
third consecutive year.
• Complimenting Miss Carol Hess whose
marriage to Mr. Clinton Mayer Long, of
Wilkes-Barre, Pa., a social event of
the month, was a luncheon given by
Lawrence M. Fox, uncle of the bride, at
Ingleside Country Club. Mr and Mrs.
Ralph Uhry entertained at the Standard
Club in honor of the young couple.
• Mr. and Mrs. I. T. Cohen recently re
turned from Miami, Fla., where they
spent the winter.
• Mrs. Eli Meyer, of Tampa, Fla., was a
recent guest at the Georgian Terrace.
• Miss Edythe Brinen, of Montezuma,
Ga., visited Miss Sylvia Kessler recently.
• Mrs. Cahn, of Raine, La., was the
guest of her son and daughter, Mr. and
Mrs. Louis Adler.
• Dr. M. W. Bergman, of Newark, N. J.,
and Mr. Sam Bergman, of Jacksonville,
Fla., were in Atlanta for a brief visit.
