* One of the most brilliant affairs of the
season, attended by a large and impres
sive gathering, was the annual cabaret
of the Jewish Progressive Club, in At
lanta. Elaborate arrangements were pro
vided for which included several novelty
numbers by guest artists. The music was
furnished by Jan Garber and his Hotel
Netherland Plaza Orchestra, which had
been especially engaged for the occasion.
The ball room was beautifully decorated
in typical cabaret style. The promenade
terrance adjoining was converted into a
charming Japanese garden, centered with
a Venetian fountain. The committee in
charge spared no effort to make this the
outstanding social function in the annals
of Club history.
