In Columbus, Georgia, Herman Julius —business man and civic leader—is an excellent example of a man who, outside of his exacting business requirements, takes an interest in affairs of his com munity, whether religious or civic. It can be said that Mr. Julius specializes in helping underprivileged humanity irre spective of religion. Mr. Julius is actively associated with the American Red Cross, being chairman of that organization in Columbus. As the chairman of the Juvenile Court, the value of Mr. Julius’ services for his community is particularly enhanced. In these ca pacities his personality, ability and ex perience stands him in good need. A leader in the Jewish community, Mr. Julius more than fulfils his obligations to his people as the president of Congrega tion H’nai Israel. Of affairs of Jewish history Mr. Julius is well versed. His library is filled with Jewish books, both modern and old, with which he is quite familiar, being an inveterate reader of Jewish literature. Mr. Julius is a member of the firm, J. and H.
