Walter Huston Play
At Erlanger For
Three Performances
The great Broadway success
“Dodsworth,” will share the spot
light with Style and Market Week
for two days when it is presented
at the Erlanger Theatre on Fri
day and Saturday, March 6 and 7.
The presentation next week will
give Southeastern merchants at
tending Style and Market Festival
the opportunity to see Walter Hus

as Sam Dodsworth—a performance
which has been called his finest in
the theatre.

wife to Europe for the vacation
which they had both planned all
their lives. Away from the mid-
western town that she had always
called home, Fran Dodsworth, hun
gry for glamour and excitement,
changes before Sam’s very eyes,
becomes a foolish, headstrong wo
man. Gradually, her criticism of
Sam grows into loathing, and she
turns to younger men.
Stunned by his wife’s infidelity,
Sam Dodsworth prepares to leave
Fran in Europe. At an express sta
tion, he meets a beautiful under
standing widow, Mrs. Courtright.
played by Huston’s own wife, Nan
Sunderland. At her villa in Italy,
Sam learns the true meaning of
love and the great satisfaction of
being understood. A call from
Fran, rejected by her lover, brings
the patient Dodsworth to her side.
The drama reaches a stirring
