The Southern Israelite
Social Contingent Prepares
holiday Dances Are Scheduled <£y
Standard and Progressive Qlubs
The social calendar, after a sum-
m ,, r of virtual retirement, will peep
shyly out of its retreat this week
end and make a personal appear
ance for the Labor Day celebration.
Forced out of the limelight by the
attractions of summer resorts, it
will be welcomed by the Atlanta
social contingent with open arms.
The Standard Club will hold its
annual Labor Day dance on Mon
day evening, and the Progressive
flub has scheduled its holiday
dance for Sunday night. In addi
tion to these events, many private
parties and dances have been ar
ranged for the week-end.
Atlantians, who are still posses
sed of the wanderlust, have made
plans to spend the holiday at near
by resorts. Altogether, it looks
like a gala holiday week-end.
