Atlantans Drop Anchor For Ballyhoo Festivities Next Week
MYTHICAL CRUISE PROVIDES
THEME FOR 3-D AY AFFAIR
Atlantan will ascend the gangplank to a mythical three-
day cruise when the annual Ballyhoo dances will begin on
Friday evening, December 24th, at the Standard Club. A
nautical theme will mark the af
fairs planned for the festivities
and will be carried out in decora
tions and costumes.
The opening event will be the
"Bon Voyage Dance,” which will
begin at 11 o’clock. Life preserv
ers, lifeboats, and other ship para
phernalia will be used as decora
tions in the ballroom. On Satur
day, a tea dance will be held from
5 to 7 o’clock, and the evening’s
entertainment will be a "Ship
wreck” dance beginning at 10
o’clock.
Climaxing the festivities will be
a formal "Rescue” ball on Sunday
evening, December 26th, from 9
until midnight. Paul Tramaine
and orchestra will provide dance
music for all events.

Alliance To Host
Children At Party
The Jewish Educational Alliance
will be hosts to children of all ages
at a Hobby Party on Friday, De
cember 3Lst, at 3:30 P. M.
The novel affair will be design
ed to feature new and interesting
hobbies, and to demonstrate the
value of the hobby as an educa
tional factor. Prizes will be award
ed during the afternoon, and hobby
packages will be distributed to all
children. It is requested that
children bring stamp collections,
knitting, whittling and other hob-
bids to the affair.
