Roof Garden. Proceeds of the af
fair will go toward the fund for
the 19tb annual convention pf
Southern Young Judaea to, be Held
in Atlanta August 14-17. Mrs.
M. T. Constar.gy is assisting the
Council in preparation for the
benefit bridge, and table prizes
and a floor show Will be features
of the evening.
“Tourists Wanted” has been se
lected as the play to be presented
at the Jewish Educational Alliance
on Sunday, February 27. Miss
^losalyn Ha in, director 6f girls
activities at the Alliance, is direct
ing the production, and the cast
includes Misses Sybil Seligman,
Dorothy Rich, Esther Lehman, Ida
Sloan, Adele Goldwasser, Mary
Cwi; Harry Bemchenko, Martin
Hershberg, Nathan Goler and
Perry Morris.
Miss Cohen Feted
Mr. and Mrs. B. W. Cohen en
tertained at a dance On Tuesday
evening, January 18th, at the
Jewish Progressive Club in honor
of their sister. Miss Gertrude Co
hen. The affair marked Miss Co
hen’s 16th birthday.
Assisting in receiving was Mrs.
S. J. Cohen, mother of the honoree.
A large number of members of the
younger and married sets attended.

Fogel, of Augusta, Ga.; Mrs. Sol
Isenberg, Miss Geraldine Isenberg,
Jack Isenberg and Buster Isenberg,

Ludwig Lewlsohn, noted Jewish
author, will speak in Atlanta on
Tuesday evening, February 15, un
der the auspices of the Ahavath
Achim Brotherhood. The subject
of the writer’s address will be
“The Faith of Israel: Where Does
It Stand Today?”
Born in Germany, Ludwig Lewi-
sohn spent his childhood years in
South Carolina, where ho had
settled at the age of eight. He was
graduated from Columbia Uni
versity, and for 5 years taught
German at the University of Wis
consin.
