CAMP DANIEL MORGAN
Girls Take Over
This week the Jewish Educa
tional Alliance camp, Camp Dan
iel Morgan, changed its complex
ion. On Monday, all the boys re
turned to their homes and left the
camp for the girls to take over.
The girls period started Wednes

taken for the first session. There
are still a few vacancies in the
second session starting August 19.
Miss Beatrice Pakula, Camp Di

days intervening between boys’
and girls’ camp. The staff held a
training institute at camp. The
counselors make up an experienced
staff especially suited to carry out
the interesting and varied pro
gram. Among the activities are
swimming and games, crafts and
dramatics, weiner and marshmal
low roasts, campfires and cook-
outs. All designed to assure each
camper a happy and stimulating
vacation.
Hikes and pioneering trips will
also be featured and the surround
ing countryside offers many inter
esting places to visit.
Call the Alliance if you want
one of the remaining places still
open in the second session from
August 19 to September 2.

Birmingham Convention
The choral group of the Alliance
is now preparing for the Young
Judaean convention in Birming
ham. Palestinian ballads and folk
melodies may be heard Tuesday
nights as a group of mostly girls
are rehearsing and testing their
vocal talents. A singing group is a
happy group and these days it is
nice to see people in a happy mood
