populations ol occupied countries by the German military commanders
and the Nazi oflicials—especially in Poland—is condemned in a reso

EFFORTS TO SAVE SLOVAKIAN
JEWISH CHILDREN FAIL
ZURICH, (JTA)—Negotiations to obtain exit visas for 300 Jewish
children in Slovakia have so far been unsuccessful, according to re
ports reaching here.
One neutral nation was willing to grunt the children a temporary
permit on condition that should they not be able to return to Slovakia
after the war, they would be in possession of visas to go to another
neutral country. But even this deferred permit appears to be unobtain
able. All the children are under 16 years of age and their parents, in
most cases, have already been deported by the Slovakian Government.
