for inviting the greatest number
of boys for home hospitality ever
accommodated in any city of the
South!
Professor Nash of N. Y. U. once
said, “Morale in a democi’acy real
ly means a religious zeal for the
right of people to establish self-
approved laws and the obligation
and discipline that gives obedience
to these laws.” Awaken morale
through home hospitality. When a
boy is given an opportunity to
break away from the regimenta
tion of army life and when he can
once again mix with civilians and
express his wishes, wants, desires
and interests—he builds morale.
After our Jewish boys spend a
week-end with a Jewish family in
Atlanta they go back to their job
at camp with a willingness and
enthusiasm that cannot be un
noticed. Home hospitality has giv
en these boys an opportunity to
express themselves socially, crea
tively, emotionally, spiritually and
in many instances intellectually.
Atlantans! Let’s give our Jewish
men in the armed forces a most
hospitable reception.
The importance of home hospi
tality cannot be overstated when
we realize how important it is to
keep up the morale of our boys.
Morale wins wars, wins games on
the athletic fields and helps to
carry us over a severe crisis. Mor
ale helps the boys in the armed
forces to face problems and to
solve them with unusual confi
dence and vitality. It is most es-
sentialto the individual if he is
going to keep his self-respect as a
soldier and a Jew. We must bring
out high morale, for if we neglect
our boys it will surely lie dormant
within them.
We face new tasks and are
working under new conditions in

House Party
The Labor Day week-end was
topped off by a house party held
on Saturday night, September 5th,
at the home of Miss Hilda Kess
ler. The sight of this beautiful
home, all lit up situated in such
picturesque surroundings, which
greeted the boys and girls as they
entered, was a hint of what was in
store for them. Delicious refresh
ments were served which were
prepared by a committee under
the direction of Miss Jennie Dav
idson and Miss Sara Lefkoff.
Other Saturday Night
Activities
In addition to the house party
there were many more activities
going on Saturday night. They in
cluded the following:
1. A dance at the Shrine Mosque
ballroom of the Fox Theatre with
Irving Melsher and his orchestra
supplying the music.
