Mr. and Mrs. Robert W. Schwab.
Captain Schwab is on foreign duty.

Fla., to attend the army adminis

Mike Abraham, son of Mrs. Mike
Abraham, of 705 Crew street, has
recently been promoted to the rank
of master sergeant in the Army
Air Corps. He is at present sta
tioned in England.

Inter-Club Council Dance
The Inter-club Council of the
JEA is sponsoring its first dance
of the season this Sunday evening,
December 13, 1942 at 8 p. m. at
the ALLIANCE ballroom. The
boys and girls on the arrangements
committee have made a great ef
fort to put this affair over the top
and their activities promise to bear
fruit judging by the interest being
shown among the clubs in the
building.
There will be no charge for ad
mission. Everyone is urged to at
tend and bring his friends.
Boy Scout Carnival
The JEA Boy Scout Troop No.
27 is to hold a carnival at the AL
LIANCE on Sunday afternoon,
December 20, at 2:30 p. m. The
boys have been busily at work
making and carrying out their
plans. They have arranged several
novelty booths and assur e every
one who attends that he will have
a good time.
There will be prizes and amuse
ment for all who come. Admission
is only five cents.

young men who are interested in

ous plan to better prepare them
selves to serve their country in
time of need. Come in to see Miss
Pakula or Mr. Marash.
It is also well to remember that
training obtained now will also
be valuable when the war is over.
Even if your induction is immi
nent, investigate the possibilities.
Some courses are as short as 30
days.
JUNIOR HADASSAH TO
MEET DECEMBER 17
Mis. Samuel C. Greenly, will
preside at the Atlanta Unit Junior
Hadassah regular monthly meet
ing Thursday evening, December
17, at 8:00 o’clock on the mezza
nine of the Winecoff Hotel.
A hightlight of the program will
be the national convention report
delivered by the unit’s official del
egate, Miss Goldie Goncher. The
Hanukah atmosphere will be in
troduced to the meeting by Miss
Eudice Tontak with the lighting
of the menorah, and the singing
of traditional melodies will lend a
festive spirit to the program.
This year marks the 82nd birth
day of Miss Henrietta Szold,
founder of Hadassah, and a short
ceremonial will be given as part
of the celebration by Miss Beulah
Franco. Miss Pearl Feldman will
give a short dramatic reading, and
a membership skit entitled “A Ha
dassah Engagement” will be pre
sented by Misses Pauline Newman
and Sylvia Noveck.
