a son, Stephen, on June 25.
Mr. and Mrs. Sanford Goldberg
announce the birt hof a son. Mr.
Goldberg is a former resident of
Augusta.
Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Forb an
nounce the birth of a son July 3
Mrs. Forb was the former Miss
Elsie Blum of Augusta.
Mr. and Mrs. James I. Weinberg
nnnounce the birth of a (niughter,
Marianne, on July 7 at Crawford
W. Long Hospital. Mrs. Weinberg
is the former Miss Florence Weis-
mann of New York.
SOFTBALL
Double A League
On Tuesday July 1st the Jew
ish Veterans forfeited a game to
the XYZ club. In the second game
top place ABC overwhelmed Mas
ada with a terrific display of pow
er in every department of the
game. The schedule for Tuesday,
July 15th is:
7:30 p.m. JWV vs. AZA JTC.
9:00 p.m, ABC vs. AZA 134.
•’A*’ League
On Sunday, July 6th AZA 134
defeated SOZ in a 4 Vi inning
lame before the rains came. The
game between AZA 357 and LAP
was called because of rain after
playing 3 'i innings.
The games between the AZA 134
Green Bees and AZA JTC and
between DSI and AZA 518 were
rained out and will be announced
at a later date.
“B” League
The ”B" league schedule for
Sunday morning, July 13th is as
follows:
9:00 a.m. SOI vs. DSI.
10:30 a.m. AZA vs. JAO.
The schedule for July 20th is:
9:00 a.m. AZA 518 vs. SOI.
10:30 a.m. JAO vs. DSI.
CAMP DANIEL MORGAN
Camp Daniel Morgan is an
nouncing its first season of co-ed
camping. «Boys from 7 through
12 and girls from 7 through 10
will be accommodated in the two
sessions at Camp Daniel Morgan.
This innovation will enhance the
camp program by allowing many
new aod different types of activity
heretofore unavailable to either
the boy or girl camping sessions.
This co-ed camp will begin July
21st and all persons interested in
registering either boys or girls for
the next session of Camp Daniel
Morgan can call the Alliance and
make necessary arrangements.
SUMMER VACATION CLUB
From a very nice beginning, the
Summer Vacation Club sponsored
by the Jewish Educational Al
liance is blossoming into a
major summer activity. Boys
and girls from 6 through 12 are
finding great sport and many in
teresting and exciting times with
the Vacation Club. Swimming
opportunities have been excellent
and already many of the children
have advanced from the non-
swimmer to the novice stages.
Hikes, story telling, singing and
art have all benn enjoyed at va
rious times during the first week.
The Club has visited Piedmont
Park. North Fulton Park and plans
are afoot to investigate many of
the other recreational facilities
available in and about Atlanta.
New campers ai’e being welcomed
daily and information concerning
this program can be obtained by
calling Main 2171 or in person at
the Jewish Educational Allianoe.

Natalie Jolles
Receives Award
Each year the Chi Omegas,
with members of the University
faculty as judges, select the out
standing woman student in a par
ticular field. This year it was po
litical science, and the check for
a $25 award has arrived by mail
to tell the Augusta girl of this
honor.
Natalie Jolles, who is the daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan Jolles,
of 2228 Lombardy Court, is major
ing in this field and is a member
of the senior class at the Univer
sity.
She received an average of 100
for her last quarter in political
science and an all A average in
other subjects. When a student
at Tubman and the Junior col
lege she was an honor graduate.
The young lady is a member of
Delta Phi Epsilon social sorority
at the University and is active in
other campus activities.

yers to be on the committee of
economics and education to at
tend the United Nations meetings.
The committee is composed of
