the devotion, zeal and personal
service to the campaign given by
the female contingent of the youth
division top leadership—Marcelle
Lowenstein and Myrtle Srochi.
Marcelle and Myrtle made the
campaign their full time responsi
bilities during the past months.
Day after day they have been
spending their time at the office of
the Welfare Fund going over de
tails and attending to the minut
est requirements of good cam
paigning. Their singleness of pur
pose, their sense of obligation, .their
devotion to the cause of rendering
the utmost to those in need of
the help of American Jewry, have
set a pattern of leadership and a
level of performance that will be
hard to surpass. Their work has
been truly an inspiration to those
who have watched them going
about the campaign details pa

service by the youth of Atlanta
bodes well far the future of the
community.

Was reading the other day about
the “collective” farms they have in
certain countries. Jtseems the folks
who run them have plenty of help
... good hours . . . and the beat
equipment.
Sounds pretty nice — till you
learn that the “fanner” doesn’t
own his land, or even farm it, in
our sense. He tabes orders from the
state ; produces whatever they
want him to produce, at prices they
set. Even his off-hours are spent
according to state regulations.
No, that would smr ge here.
