Open Season
This Thursday
The Junior Congregation of the
Shearith Israel Synagogue will
launch its season at 9:30 a. m.
Saturday, Oct. 9, in the Synago
gue Vestry Rooms.
Services are conducted solely
by the children under supervision
of Rabbi Hyman Friedman. After
every service a Kiddush is pre
sented by the Sisterhood. All boys
and girls of the community are
invited to these Sabbath services.
The following officers were
elected to steer the Junior Con
gregation lor the new year: Meyer
Garber, president; Donald Minsk,
assistant; Charles Firestone and
Joseph Epstein, vice presidents;
Harold Asher, gabbai; Albert
Tuck, assistant gabbai; and David
Geffen, chazen.

com Goldstein, of Atlanta were
held Monday, Sept. 20, at the
graveside, Crest Lawn cemetery.
Dr. David Marx officiated. Mrs.
Goldstein died Saturday, Sept. 18.
