Camp Osceola
Has Separate Units
For Boys, Girls
A modern Jewish camp in the
“land of the sky” is the lure of
Camp Osceola operated by the
Herbert Silvers in North Caro
lina.
Actually Camp Osceola has a
dual personality. It is a camp for
girls at Horse Shoe, N. C., and an
entirely separate camp at Lake
Osceola, near Hendersonville, N.
C.
The full gamut of summer-time
recreation for children—arts and
crafts, swimming, boating, horse
riding, games, supervised periods
—is offered under the seasoned
staff. There is a resident physi
cian serving both camps.
The Silvers, who will furnish
additional data from 950 Jefferson
Avenue, Miami Beach, are both
experienced educators and have
degrees in education and physical
education from several colleges
and universities. Both have been
teaching at Miami public schools.
Mrs. Silver is in charge of the
girls’ camp.
Camp Osceola for boys is
located 3 miles from Henderson.
The girls camp is on scenic Mills
12 miles from Hendersonville.
