ATHENS—Important books an |
j Jewish history, philosophy, litera- I
ture, and religion will be present- j
j ed to the University of Georgia
Library as a gift from Mr. and ,
Mrs. Milton Keller, of Brunswick, '■
i Georgia.
These books will constitute a
j memorial to Mr. Keller’s parents,
: David and Jennie Keller, accord- '
ing to Rabbi Samuel Glasner, di- ,
rector of the B’nai B’rith Hillel
Foundation at the University of
| Georgia.
Mr. and Mrs. Keller’s gift was
prompted by a report which Rabbi
Glasner gave to the Georgia State
Association of B’nai B’rith Lodges,
which recently met at Brunswick
and Jekyll Island. In his address
Glasner spoke of the deep interest
which had been expressed by a
number of the faculty and stu
dents in the University in learn
ing more about the Jews and Ju
daism. The David and Jennie Kel
ler Memorial Book Shelf will thus
provide a valuable source of ac
curate information for these pro

Remember How
We Talked?
It went like this at the Hooper's
the other night. Rap’s eighteen-
year-old daughter is talking about
“a real gone guy—solid—out of this
world, but def.”
‘‘Now what kind of language is
that?” Hap barks.“Can’t she speak
English?”
“1*11 translate it for you.” Ma
Hooper says, “in the language of
the twenties, when you were about
twenty years old. She simply means
this fellow is the ‘cat’s whiske*-*-.’
Remember how ire used to t
sometimes?” Hap went back'*.,
reading his newspaper.
From where I sit, it’s easy to
criticize the other person when we
don’t take a good long look at our
selves. Sure, there’ll always be
some differences.' I’m fond bf a
temperate'glass of beer and maybe
you would prefer ginger ale—but
let’s just live and let live. Because
when we go out of our way to find
things to find fault with in others,
chances are they can find a few in
us, too.
