been announced.

Baer Goodman on Thursday, June
9. at the Ambassador Hotel in New

The bride-elect graduates soon
from Smith College, the groom-
elect from Tubman, where he is a
class speaker.

Miss Ann Sherman, whose mar
riage to Dr. Harry Needle of
Charleston will be an event of
June 6, has been the subject of
several entertainments recently.
She was entertained at a buffet
supper in the home of Mrs. Ida
Friedman. Co-hostesses with her
were Mrs. Jake Abelson and Mrs.
Isadore Bernstein.
Others entertaining for Miss
Sherman were Mrs. Leon Parron
and Mrs. Jake Srochi. Mrs. Robert
Travis is to entertain members of
the family and bridal party at her
home. On another occasion, Mrs.
George Chait and Mrs. Morris
Frank entertained members of the
family and out-of-town guests at
the Mayfair Club.

Mr. Dobrow is the son of Mr.
and Mrs. Sam Dobrow of Daytona
Beach. He attended Seabreeze in
Daytona and the University of
Florida, and is a member of the
Tau Epsilon Phi Fraternity. He is
in business in Daytona Beach.
The wedding is scheduled for
late summer.

from Biloxi, Miss., where they at
tended the annual convention of
the Southern Surgical Congress.

of the Congress.

Held May 29 for
Or Ve Shalom School
The closing exercises of the
Or Ve Shalom Sunday School
were held on Sunday, May 29,
at the Synagogue.
The Sisterhood presented
prizes and awards to pupils who
were outstanding in scholarship
and attendance.
Temple Ladies
Meet Monday
A joint executive board and
general membership meeting of
the Temple Sisterhood will be held
at 11 a. m. Monday, June 6, at the
Tample House.
This will be the annual organi
zational meeting at which plans
for the coming year will be con
sidered and decided. It will con
clude the current season.
Election of officers was held at
a recent meeting and the following
will serve the Sisterhood next
season:

The Or Ve Shalom Sisterhood
installed officers at the luncheon
held May 25 in the Vestry Rooms
of their new Synagogue.
Rabbi Joseph Cohen, who con
ducted the installations, delivered
the principal address.
Officers for the ensuing year
are: Mrs^ Leo Amiel, president;
Mrs. Victor Capeloto, vice presi
dent; Mrs. Ralph Tourial, second
vice president; Mrs. Morris Ben-
benisty, treasurer; Mrs. Jakie
Amato, l'ecording secretary, and

Women to Mark
10th Anniversary
The tenth anniversary of the
Pioneer Women will be celebrated
in Atlanta on Wednesday, June 8.
Members of Pioneer Women
Group I will observe the birthday
at their meeting at 2 p. m. at the
Ahavath Achim Educational Cen
ter, according to Mrs. Baila Pro-
ger, president.

Election of Officers
Mike Levitt was reelected for a
six-month term as president of the
Atlanta Assembly of the I. Z. F. A.
on Sunday, May 29.
Selected to serve with him are
Becky Bloom, vice president;
Hankah Sanders, secretary-treas
urer, and Joanne Cole, corres
ponding secretary. New commit
tee chairmen are Dick Falk pro
gram; Jay Mintzer and Pat Unger,
publicity; Dov Adelbaum, Haolen;
Amnon Sishin, Israel projects;
Becky Bloom, membership, and
Bernie Malin, public relations.
Anita Schwartzman and Becky
Bloom were elected as representa
tives on the Young Adult Council.
The I.Z.F.A. chapter at Georgia
Tech has also held elections. Sig
Guthman was chosen president,
with Paul Belz as vice president,
Julius Blum as secretary-treasur
er, and Leon Zalka as Hillel rep
resentative.
Alan Meisel was elected presi
dent of the I.Z.F.A. chapter at the
Atlanta Division of the University
of Georgia. Victor Notrica is vice
president and David Berzon is
secretary-treasurer.
