THE KISS OF DESTINY
The late Dr. Motzkin was al
ways being chosen as chairman
for Zionist gatherings. A Jew said
to him once:
“How is it, Dr. Motzkin? Jews
say when an angel kisses you on
the head at your birth, you become
a thinker. When he kisses you on |
the throat you become a singer.
When he gisses you on the hand,
you become a craftsman. Where,
Dr. Motskin, did the angel kiss
you that you are always a chair
man?”

Wexler Almost
Loses Son at
B. B. Convention
While William A. Wexler was j
annexing a new laurel for himself j
at the recent B’nai B’rith conven- !
tion in Savannah, he almost lost i
a son.
His two boys, Edward and Allen, J
had gone to the Hotel De Soto ]
to hear their father address the j
convention. But there were too !
many grown-ups around for the j
lads. They preferred to stroll out- i
side in the vicinity of the swim
ming pool.
Edward, who could not swim, i
fell into the deep side of the pool. j
His brother, trained in life-saving j
at the summer camps and at the i
Jewish Educational Alliance, I
leaped into the water and seized i
the sinking boy by the hair. He
managed to hold EcTward out of
the water until an older youngster
came by and pulled him to safety.
