one hour and the next saw the

Under the exemplary leader
ship of Dr. Nathan Blass, Ber
nard Smith and Berry Ritten-

early breakfast. About 300

ports had been made on all the
cards—and a total of nearly
$20,000 was added to the
amount of pledges to the At
lanta goal.
The determination of the Sac
rifice Day workers, all of whom
went through the day with
hardly a minute devoted to
their own business, brought the
campaign figure to the $800,000
mark.

LIKE THE REST
Everybody asks these days of
everyone returning from a visit to
Israel to tell him about the new
state. Which reminds us of an in
cident of a few years back. Old
Mr. Goldfarb had gone to Pales
tine for a visit and upon returning,
his friend Abe asked him: “Well,
what did you think of the Wailing
Wall?”
“What did I think of the Wailing
Wall?” he mimicked. “It’s like all
Wailing Walls.”
