year were Arnold Goldberg of
Savannah, Superior; Robert Hecht
of Columbus, Vice Superior;
Louis Klein of Augusta, treasurer;
and Robert Kleinman of Atlanta,
secretary. Much of the credit for
winning the award is due to the
leadership and guidance of these
lads.
One of the outstanding leaders
of Xi Chapter as well as one of
the outstanding students on the
Tech Campus is Fred Wolf of
Tampa. Wolf is a past superior of
Xi Chapter and an active member
of many of Tech's outstanding or
ganizations. He is a member of

Omicron Delta Kappa, national
honorary leadership and activity
society, which is one of Tech’s
highest honors. He has served as
business manager, advertising
manager, circulation manager and
merchandising manager for the
“Technique,” the student news
paper.
While merchandising manager,
Wolf won for the “Technique”
first place honors in a national
merchandising contest. He is now
president of the White and Gold
Club, an organization which spon
sors the flash card cheering sec
tion at Tech’s football games, and
is one of the organizers of this
club. He is also a member of the
‘Hamblin Rech Club, Bulldog
Club, Gymnastics team, Hillel,
Publications Board, Pi Delta Ep
silon (honorary journalistic fra
ternity), and business manager of
Tech’s new literature magazine
which is scheduled for publication
this autumn.
Another outstanding member of
the Tech chapter is Dick Fox of
Philadelphia. Dick is a member
of the Bulldog Club, business
manager of the “Technique”, for
mer advertising manager of the
“Technique”, president of Pi
Delta Epsilon, chairman of the Pi
Delta Epsilon Freshman Orienta
tion Program, member of the

chapter.
Ted Levy of Atlanta is a mem
ber of the Varsity Swimming
Team, Alpha Phi Omega (service
fraternity), and Sigma Delta Psi
(honorary athletic fraternity).
Don Rosen of Atlanta is a mem
ber of Hillel and the American
Society of Mechanical Engineers.

Myers came to Atlanta to re
ceive the Phi Epsilon Pi award in
person. In making the presenta
tion, President Korff said:

service to the cause of unity and
understanding among American
Jewry during a time of crisis in
the efforts to mobilize maximum
aid for our brothers overseas, we
are honored to present you, Stan
ley C. Mj?ers, with the Annual
National Service Award of Phi
Epsilon Pi Fraternity. Your record
of unselfish humanitarian service
is an inspiration to all who know
of your efforts on behalf of your
fellow men.”
The award to Myers was the
16th to be given by the national
social fraternity. Previous recip
ients were the late Henrietta
Szold, the late Dr. Stephen S.
Wise, the late Cyrus Adler, Dr.
Jonah B. Wise, Supreme Court
Justice Felix Frankfurter, Dr. Al

granting of a charter for a private
corporation, and show to the Court
the following facts:
1.
They desire for themselves, their
associates and successors to be incor
porated for a period of thirty-five <33)
years, with the right of renewal there
of, as provided by law. under the
name and style of
CENTRAL GLASS COMPANY
2.
The principal office and place of
business shall be located in Atlanta,
Georgia, with the privilege of estab
lishing branch offices and places of
business in such other places as may
be determined.
3.

4.
The purpose and object of said cor
poration is pecuniary gain and profit
to its stockholders. The general nature
of the business to be transacted, and
the corporate powers desired are:
To do business as manufacturers,
dealers and brokers of goods, wares
and merchandise consisting in whole
or in part in glass or metals, and to
engage in the business as contractors,
builders and construction agents.
The corporation shall have the priv
ilege to contract for vhe construction;
alteration and improvement of build
ings of every kind and description.
To acquire and pay for in cash,
stocks or bonds of this corporation or
otherwise, the good will, rights, assets
and property, and to undertake or
assume the whole or any part of the
obligations or liabilities of any person,
firm, assiciation or corporation.
To do all things, subsidiary, neces
sary or convenient for carrying out
and into effect the purpose and ob
jects of said corporation.
5.
The maximum number of shares
which said corporation shall be
authorized to issue shall be five hun
dred (500) shares of common stock of
the par value of One Hundred (100.001
Dollars each, or fractional part there
of.
6.
The amount of capital with which
the corporation will begin business
shall be Five Thousand ($5,000.00)
Dollars.
7.
The shares of stock of said corpor
ation may be issued for any considera
tion, whether money, property or ser
vices. and can be issued in exchange
for leases, including the transfer and
assignment thereof, sales contracts,
plants and equipment, and any other
real or personal property of choses in
action useful or necessary in the prose-
tion of the business of the corporation.

The corporation may use and apply
Its surplu* earnings or accumulated
profits to the purchase or acquisition
of property, and to the purchase, ac
quisition. or retirement of its own
capital stock from time to time, to
such extent and in such manner and
upon such terms as its Board of Direc
tors shall determine and neither the
property nor the capital stock so pur
chased and acquired shall be regarded
as profits for the purpose of declara
tion or payment of dividends, unless
otherwise determined by a majority
of the Board of Directors.
9.
The entire property of the corpora
tion may be sold, exchanged, or bar
tered for other property or otherwise
disposed of when authorized by vote
of two-thirds of the Board of Directors
and subsequently ratified by a vote of
the holders of four-fifths of the capi
tal stock of the corporation at a
stockholders’ meeting called to con
sider the matter, provided notice of
ten days of such stockholders’ meettng
shall be given in writing prior thereto
and the purpose for which the meeting
is called shall be stated in the notice.
10.
Applicants desire that the said cor
poration shall have and enjoy all the
privileges, rights and powers enumer
ated in Chapter 22-18 of the Corpora
tion Act of 1938 of the Code of Geor
gia. and as the same may be here-
1 after amended, and all of the powers
and privileges enumerated therein are
made a part hereof to the same extent
| as if the same were enumerated here
in.
WHEREFORE, applicants pray that
they be incorporated under the name
and style aforesaid, with all the rights
and privileges herein set out, and such
I others as are now or may hereafter be
authorized by law, and applicants fur-
, ther pray that their application be
! granted.

ORDER
The foregoing application for the
formation of a corporation to be
known as CENTRAL GLASS COM-
i PANY. having been presented to the
Court, and it appearing that said ap
plication is within the purview and
intention of the Statutes of the State
of Georgia; and it appearing further
that the applicants have conformed
with the provisions of law relating to
the granting of charters; and it further
appearing by certificate of the Secre
tary of the State that the name of the
proposed corporation is not the name
of any other existing corporation reg-
istered in the records of said Secretary
of State;
IT IS ORDERED AND ADJUSTED
that the said application is hereby
granted, and the corporation is hereby
created under the name of CENTRAL
GLASS COMPANY, and said appli
cants. their associates, successors and
assigns are hereby incorporated as
prayed in said application, with all
the rights, powers, privileges and im
munities as prayed in said application
and as authorized by the Law of this
State.
