The marriage of Miss Augusta
Ada Temerson to Lester H. Cohen
was solemnized recently in Birm
ingham. The bride is the daughter
of the late Mr. and Mrs. Charles

MARCUS-CHAIKEN
Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Marcus an

daughter, Gertrude, to Israel Ber
nard Chaiken of New York City.
Miss Marcus graduated from
the University of Georgia and re
ceived her Masters degree in so
cial work at Carnegie Tech. At
present she holds a position in
social welfare with the New York
Service for New Americans.
Mr. Chaiken, son of Mr. and
Mrs. S. Chaiken of New York, is
a graduate of New York Univer
sity and is currently connected
with Schenley Distributors as
statistician in their New York
office.

the early fall.

of Alpha Epsilon Pi Fraternity. He
was in the Navy, and he is now
in business with his father in
Marietta.

Atlanta after spending the sum
mer in Jacksonville.
After being hospitalized for
four weeks. Miss Edna Stein is
now back at her home and recu
perating, her friends will be glad

Miss Marianne Boblasky has
returned to Savannah from Ams
terdam, N. Y., where she spent
the summer visiting her sisters.
Friends of Abe Schwartz will
be glad to hear he has undergone
an operation successfully at St.
Joseph’s Hospital and is now re
cuperating.

con visited relatives in Atlanta for

Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Rich.
Rabbi Kampfer, the son of Rab
bi Elijah Kampfer of Memphis, is
assistant Hillel Director at
Howard University.

Dr. and Mrs. S. A- Cohn, of
Athens, announce the engagement
of their daughter, Miss Eva Cohn,
to John Galambos. The marriage
will take place Oct. 8 at 7:30 p. m.
in the Temple of the Congregation
Children of Israel in Athens.
The bride-elect was graduated
from the University of Georgia,
where she was a member of Phi
Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi and
Mortar Board and was president
of the Delta Phi Epsilon sorority.
She also attended the University
of Illinois^ Institute of Labor and
Industrial Relations, from which
she will receive her master's de
gree in October.
Mr. Galambos was graduated
from the University of Georgia,
where he was a member of the
Tau Epsilon Phi fraternity and
Gamma Sigma Epsilon chemical
society. He is now a medical stu
dent at Emory University Medical
