Hotel Peachtree Manor, Atlanta’s Newest
And Most Modern, Is Officially Opened
Congratulations were still pour
ing in this week for the manage
ment upon the official opening of
Hotel Peachtree Manor, newest
addition to Atlanta’s hostelry.
Scores of the city’s leaders at
tended the open-house last Satur
day, examining the cleverly dec
orated and arranged premises and
partaking of refreshments in the
beautiful Flamingo Dining
Lounge.
Besides the delicious drinks and
snacks, typical of the fine cuisine
which visitors to the hotel will
always find at the Flamingo
Lounge, the guests enjoyed the
organ music of Ray Carvel. Mr.
Carvel is on the regular staff and
his music furnishes pleasant back
ground for the dining room pa
trons.
Lloyd Sifford Jr., well-known
in hotel, circles of Atlanta, is
managing Hotel Peachtree Manor
for Sixth Street, Corp., of which
Dr. Irving Goldstein and Dr. Mar
vin Goldstein, are president and
vice president.
Mrs. Irving Goldstein super
vised the beautiful and modern
decor with which the hotel lobby
and rooms is furnished.
Hotel Peachtree Manor has both
transient and permanent accom
modations and Mrs. Goldstein said
the management tries to place
patrons in the rooms suiting both
their needs and personalities. In
many instances, the apartment-
type suites have been furnished
to fit the tastes of the occupants.
These suites, sometimes include
a bedroom and adjoining sitting
room, generally with a conver
tible lounge, sometimes contain a
dining room and even a kitchen—
with the latest type of equipment.
Tasteful carpet, finely textured
upholstery and bed spreads and
curtains, combined in the rich
deep tones of color so popular to
day give Hotel Peachtree Manor a
distinctive appearance which will
appeal to patrons.
6f course, the staff is dedicated
to making the guests comfortable,
Mr. Sifford said.
Hotel Peachtree Manor is locat
ed. on Atlanta’s famed Peachtree
Street, at 6th street, convenient
to neighborhood shopping section
and right on transportation lines a

few minutes from the heart of

Once an apartment building,
the fire-proof structure has been
completely redone and reconvert
