lyache. He doesn’t mind so much
what they say, as how they say
it. “In order to convert people
to their Heaven, they must make
it appear that the world is the
blackest hell. In order to show
up the evil, they seek to prove

You see how bitterly he hates
reformers. But wait: When Mr.
Keidansky is asked how to go
about abolishing reformers, he
replies:
“But there is the rub, I don’t
know exactly, but I’ve been
thinking that perhaps the only
way to abolish reformers would
be to remove all of the evils of
society.”

A.Z.A. Chapter Substitutes Drama
for Gambling in Fund Raising
By ANNE CUTLER
Wheels of fortune at a quarter
a whirl and bingo at fifty cents
a card may seem like easy de
vices for coaxing money from
an unsuspecting public, but At
lanta’s A.Z.A. Chapter 677 is re
belling against the whole idea of
raising funds this way.
It didn’t take these boys long
to discover that their club’s in
take at Monte Carlo affairs re
sulted in a pretty disastrous out
go from their own individual
pockets.
Gambling, decided these teen
agers, even for the most worth
while cause, simply doesn’t pay.
This year they are not taking
any chances with their fund-
raising-—nor are they selling any.
Instead, they are selling tick
ets at 75 cents each to a sure
thing—an “Evening of Drama,”
to be given at 8:30 p.m. Sunday,
April 6, at the A. A. Center.
Before what promises already
to be an SRO house, these boys
will present a series of three one-
act plays, all of which are well-

Marry a Doctor” by Sholom Ale-
ichem; “If Men Played Cards as
Women Do” by George S. Kauf
man; and “One-Roam Apart
ment” by Mel Dinelli.
All of the parts will be played
by members of the group. Fe
male roles will be portrayed ser
iously by the boys, and costumes
will be authentic. Director for
the series of plays is Walter
Heubner.
Following the plays a dance
will be given at the Center.
Atlanta’s B’nai B’rith Youth
Organization committee, headed
by Irwin Greenbaum, is giving
its wholehearted support to this
undertaking, feeling certain that
its success will put an end to
“night club affairs” in B’nai
B’rith youth circles. Also on this
committee are Ed Krick, Mrs.
Bess Harris, Mrs. Eve Freeman,
Jack Chilnick, L. J. Levitas, and
Durward Gerson.
Tickets for the “Evening of
Drama” may be secured by cal
