Dr. Granados was a pacesetter
in the movement in the halls of
the United Nations which result
ed in the partition of Palestine.
He has been an ardent champion
Of liberty in his own country
and underwent the gamut from
honors to exile because of his
fighting for freedom.

Meet April 14
A Passover demonstration will
keynote the regular monthly
meeting of the Shearith Israel
Sisterhood at 1:30 p. m. Monday,
April 14, at the Education Cen
ter on University Drive.
Officers for the coming year
will be elected.
A film about the customs and
ceremonies of Passover will be
shown and Mrs. Hyman Fried
man and Mrs. M. Lefkoff will
demonstrate baking for Passover
by actually baking cakes and
other delicacies at the meeting.
Older children and friends of
members are invited to attend
the meeting.
Adult Square Dance
A square dance for the re
cently organized “Adult” Group
of the Atlanta Jewish Commun
ity Center will be held at 8:30
p. m. Saturday, April 19, at the
Temple.
Kosher Rations for
Texas Maneuver GIs
CAMP HOOD, TEX. (AJP).—
Jewish servicemen participating
in “Operation Longhorn,” the
Army’s most extensive post-war
maneuvers, were not without
their kosher supplies.
Shortly before the start of the
war games, a special shipment of
kosher foods was rushed the
Jewish GIs by the Armed Forces
Division of the Union of Ortho
dox Jewish Congregations of
America, the group disclosed this
week.
The supplies arrived hours be
fore the troops were ordered
into “action” in the big war re
hearsal.
