Banquet Events
The sixth annual banquet and
dance of the Jewish Activity
Club was held Sunday, March
30, at the Standard Town and
Country Club.
S a m Rosenberg, executive
director of the Atlanta Bureau
of Jewish Education, was the
guest speaker. Herbert Rosen
berg was toastmaster.
Trophies were awarded to
Carol Freedenthal, chosen best
all-round member, and to Louis
Taratoot. most athletic. Miss
Jacqueline Stein was pinned the
new sweetheart of JAC. succeed
ing Miss Marlene Feldman.
Larry Lewis, president, pre
sented a check to Max Robkin in
bchalfof the Bov Scouts of Is
rael.

Lunch April 28
Mrs. A. Auerbach, president,
has announced that the fourth
annual donors’ luncheon of the
Atlanta Chapter, Mizrachi Wom
en, will be held at 12:30 p. m.
Monday, April 28, at the Pro
gressive Club.
A national officer will be on
rescue and rehabilitation work
proceeds will be allocated for the
hand to make an address. All
of the group’s Children’s Village
in Rennana, Israel.
Mrs. Joseph Schwartzman is
chairman of the luncheon. Mrs.
Bennie Auerbach is co-chairman
and Mrs. Julius Sherman, pub
licity chairman. Tickets may
be secured from Mrs. Schwartz-

former Miss Enid Minsk, daugh
ter of Mr. and Mrs. Nathan
Minsk, has been awarded a fel
lowship in the field of sociology
at Miami University.

officers by Gamma Chapter of
Alpha Epsilon Pi at Atlanta
Division, U. of Ga., are:

stein, sergeant-at-arms.
Three new pledges, Arnold

Sigel, are scheduled to be initiat
ed during the new term.
Gives Blood 64th
Time—Acclaimed
NEW YORK CITY (AJP).—A
Jewish mailman whose 63 pre
vious donations of blood plasma
to the Red Cross have meant
good tidings for wounded Ameri
can GIs, signed up for Number
64 this week and earned the
city’s acclaim.
The letter carrier, Simon H.
Schneider, was presented with a
citation here in the course of
ceremonies marking his pledge of
a 64th pint of blood.

the Navy, he is being assisted in
his business by his wife, the
former Mickey Kaler.
